Good specifications and value for the price. May be able to price match/beat with other major retailers. Has Dolby Vision/Atmos but with 100Hz Smooth motion rate. I think 3 year warranty is also good for peace of mind.

I'm chasing the c727. Be careful the p model is not as good as the c model
what's the difference between c727 v c725?
Bought a 75c727 for few weeks, I have done some researched (could be wrong though).
C727 vs c725
FALD = full array local dimming
1 less USB
Speaker
The rest should be similar or even same (worse energy stars if that matter)
I remember TCL website can compare them.
Got it from the good guys with 11% off, $100 cash back from TCL and pay some with 10% gift card (got it a while ago), I am not expert but pictures is pretty good (75c727 not this one).
I just bought the C727 75" for $1605 delivered (TGG eBay with eBay Plus 10% off, $80 delivery)
Shipping $500 eek
Jeepers, where do you live, only $164 to Hobart :p
Moon
If I remember correctly people said Buysmarte not good
Not good, but definitely smart?
TCL QUHD 75 inch TV is a good model and good brand.
I got one last year from The Good Guys for discounted price of $1,295 (Model: 75P8MR) + $50 Delivery.
Happy with the quality after 18 months daily use.
You need to buy a good quality sound bar to complement this TV.
The build-in speakers are crap.
Recommended TV to purchase for the bargain price and 4K picture quality.Warranty claims are are near on impossible with this company.
Can't do with TCL directly?
That's the problem
I think you can

@superforever: Yeah except every time you send them a photo of the problem they claim they can't see it. You so sillyyyy no problem! Literally. 10 emails and phone calls and I gave up.
@Gusper: ic, from my experience Samsung a lot better, they even came to my place to replace the screen FHD.
@superforever: Yes I have had a similar experience with another Japanese brand, some companies think that screwing the customer won't cost them in the long run. I did a review of a Fisher and Paykel dishwashers after they recalled the motors in them after 8 years (rediculous as they were recalled in the US after 4 years), replaced them, broken the dishwasher and didn't refund the 4 motors I had previously paid for 4 times.
That review had over 4000 reads. Do you think that sort of review didn't turn off more than the $400 in other customer sales?
These companies need to do the right thing and stop treating customers like they owe them money.
You can always tell a real story from just winge on the review site which is why I think it got so many reads.
I managed to get the older 75" replaced through TCL. Took about a month and several phone calls but got there in the end.
My 75 p8M was replaced under warranty. Took a little bit to get done, but they did replace it.
Yep, my 85 inch of this model refused to stay connected via network cable and had shocking backlight bleed. TCL screwed me around for months and then told me it wasn't their problem.
Bought the 55" on black Friday and my thoughts are the os is pretty slow and I tend to use my chromecast to use apps not the built-in one. Also foxtel app doesn't work and casting it, so you need to cast it on a plugged in chromecast. Only a bedroom tv so not fussed, don't touch this as main tv pay the money and get a Sammy, Sony or LG.
Grab a CCGTV (chromecast with google tv), using one on my 8yr old Sony W900A and it works flawlessly.
HDMI-CEC allows me to do most things with just the Chromecast remote. Only use the TV remote for FTA content.
For anyone considering one for the casual lounge TV; we bought a 75" for a day (returned it); IMO 65" is the largest you can go before our 576i broadcasts start to look notably poor in a standard 3-4m deep lounge; hd channels are still nice.
That said, it was an amazing size for movies and such; so if thats your goal; go for it!
I didn't think anyone could still watch 576i channels?… I thought free to air tv went to HD years ago?
I thought free to air tv went to HD years ago?
Not all of them yet unless you use Internet stream app
Nope, there are dedicated "HD" channels. Only about 8 or so of the 20 FTA channels are HD.
Luckily, post processing is good these days; im usually very sensitive to interlacing; but 576i looks like 576p, imo. So its quite good really, at a reasonable sitting distance, that is.
Available for $1,280 at appliancecentral for anyone interested.
https://www.appliancecentral.com.au/75p725-tcl-75-inch-p725-…Are you sure this is 100hz refresh rate or just some technology that "improves" refresh rates.
I checked the TCL specifications page for this model and under the main section it didn't mention 100hz refresh rate but rather "Motion Estimation & Motion Compensation"
Under Panel Specifications it only mentions 60hz as well. Unless HDMI 2.1 holds a standard 100hz technology?
Yes , you are right. I think the native motion rate is 60Hz but TV companies use some sort of marketing terminology such as smooth motion rate, clear motion rate n so on… Lot of other TVs are native 60Hz as well.
Native motion rate is 50Hz with this TV.
Thats good. I just checked all our channels; and even the HD ones are still 50hz.
All TV in Australia is 50Hz. However I think most TVs can display 60Hz over HDMI.
May worth a try to Price matched at thegoodguys or jb, then pay with 15% gift card.
yeah be careful with the "p" model vs the "c" mode. check your specs.
tough to argue with the price….
