No deal. These things are all over Amazon, as cheap as $22 (+del/free with Prime).

The product is different. The lamp holder is also different. It has no customer reviews.

      • +1

I never said it was the same. Does the same job, however.

    • Both products composited with items on the desks to appear way bigger than in real life too?

Caveat - I can't speak to the build quality of OPs product, but this was actually the 2nd of 3 lights I bought. I needed something that I could tilt/swivel around as I have a large desk. The thing died and fell apart on me after 3 weeks. Very disappointed with the build quality. Also, having the controls on the wire was the worst… very fiddly to get to.

      Would avoid like the plague.

Highly recommend this over the screen monitor light. Brighter and and you can reposition the light direction as well. Monitor light is fixed in one place

A counter argument is that a screen bar is fixed in place to prevent glare and desk clutter if those things are important to you

Personally I have both a desk lamp and a screen monitor light. Assuming i'm just working on my computer than the latter is far better and easier to the eye.

On the other hand, if i need to write etc, then maybe a desk lamp is better fit for purpose

  • There is no clinical studies for its statement.

    • I have this exact lamp and I really like it. Tried two others from Amazon (not the one listed by OP however), one was not fit-for-use at all (poor light quality and kept sagging), and the other died in the process of falling apart.

This lamp however is fantastic. It's large, well constructed and the settings are good.

From an aesthetic pov I think it looks nicer than most (as it doesn't have the gnarly springs etc).

  • I will go for $22 one. I can buy two instead of 1

    • Interesting logic. May it serve you well.

My 2c - the cheap man pays twice (or thrice), so it's probably a good idea to buy two XD

  • Which $22 one would people recommend? Am thinking to get one for my desk.
