Rep, this was not easy to use instore. Was difficult for different staff members who outright did not know how to process it. Tried entering manually into EFTPOS machine and and having a crack at it. Eventually found some instructions and had to manually enter all the digits, and full name and address (!).
I'd expect this to be streamlined with instant delivery and hassle free ability to simply scan the gift card barcode.

Long time lurker first time poster.
Just wanted to share some advice, and my online shopping experience Mitre10 and their gift cards.
There are quite a few limitations when it comes to shopping with Mitre10. The first would be stock fulfilment.
Just because you are able to add items to your cart does not mean you will be able to complete the transaction. As it turns out, only one of your local stores can fulfil the order so if they're out of stock, you're out of luck (with the exception of visiting in person to request stock be ordered in…of course).
Head office is very helpful and can help you locate a store with stock BUT you'll have to physically head to that store to pick up your order since shipping would be very expensive (their words not mine).
Secondly if you are able to successfully check out be aware that you literally can only use one gift card. Yes you read correctly. There is no option to add another gift card so the remaining balance needs to be paid using additional funds.

Also take note that some items take ages to fulfil so don't go buying anything that you actually need in the near future.
I'm totally miffed by my shopping experience with Mitre10… tried to support local businesses and save 10% instead I have a massive headache and stuck with these gift cards because there's nothing I can buy!
Just my luck that the one thing I wanted to buy is out stock across my local stores and is to be discontinued by DeWalt so no further stock can be ordered in. To make things worse, there is one display model available but it's in Katoomba but I have to go pick it up (I live in Metro Syd)…or pay hefty delivery charges. Ugh, so now I've put this item on the back burner and find something else to buy but can't pay for it using the 2 gift cards because there is no option at checkout to do so.

Multiple gift cards can be used in-store and can be used on every product minus buying another gift card. Online at this stage, you can only use one card though this will be changing in the future.
Gift cards 100% can be used for phone orders so we will need to reach out to the store in question as to why you were told they cannot be.
Also if you have spoken to customer service we can 100% organise for the item to be sent from Katoomba Mitre 10 to your location, and we do this on a daily basis for customers that reach out to the customer service team though you would need to pay for the shipping cost.

Re shipping from Katoomba to metro Sydney. I am aware it is possible but this is really is not logical. I could just buy the item from one of your competitors who actually have plenty of stock and also offer free shipping…
In any case I bought another DeWalt tool and when it was (finally) dispatched by the Peakhurst store it wasn't even packaged in anything. So basically the DeWalt box. Really disappointing. I had selected ATL but wouldn't have done so if I had known it wasn't going to be concealed… Pretty much just leaving my money on the front door step.
Back to my latest dilemma, I have 2 gift cards remaining. Want to buy the $179 Karcher window vac but it seems like I'll have to go into the Peakhurst store just to request they order it in, then return to pick it up.

TLDR Don't bother with 10% off gift cards, you waste more of your time (than what you're saving) trying to use it.
