    Diplays Resolution: 240p (320 x 240)

    Landfill..

    • My eyes can only see 180P per eye so I agree, also only 1.5 hours or 90 mins of use, Dune would love this for a 3 hour charge between views.

Yeah good idea, you could make a cup of coffee then a curry while you wait.

          • @[Deactivated]: Connect it to a powerbank!

          • @[Deactivated]: Drink up the copium while you're at it being satisfied with such a "great" purchase! Lol

            • @bchliu: Never bought one?

  • "Lumens: 600 (20 ANSI)"
At least they tell us in a standardised format of ANSI lumens…
Most cheap projectors won't bother because it's so low.

    • Hehe - it is Jaycar! Were you really expecting anything better?

  • with those specs you may as well use an ipad as that's the size of the screen you'll end up with to get a clear/bright enough picture

Guys, you're thinking of it the wrong way. Put it beside your child's/baby's bed/cot, pointed at the ceiling, and it can project a video of you reading a bedtime story. That way you only have to read each bedtime story once. Your child/baby isn't going to care about the low resolution or lack of brightness.

Ok. Any deals for a baby :p?

      • +3

That's a joint-purchase type of deal. You'll need to team up with at least one other person, and there are special eligibility requirements.

They are freemium, be careful. Doesn't cost anything to get one but the yearly subscription is ridiculous, not to mention the prohibitive costs around hard-cases to make sure it doesn't get damaged if you drop it.

Not to mention the looks you get when you try and return one, talk about stink-eye, gosh.

Currently a deal on Durex condoms…just buy 0

        • +1

I tried returning a baby to them after one failed…

    • what we need is deepfake of your face on someone else reading bedtime stories, think of all the time you will save!

If you are after tech from the 1990s, jaycar is the place to go.

I bought my trail wagon from them in 1890.
All jokes aside, they have a Tandy feel to them, not the Dick Smith insane amount of stuff but Tandy just enough stuff to want to think to yourself, "how did I end up here?"

  • How many candlepower?

  • 12v * 0.5A = 6 watts… including speaker.

Pretty sure my cree torch uses more than 6 watts.
