Yes likewise, it seems like it would shine in your eyes a lot more then a regular directional head torch.
Hi got the same headset from ebay and they are pretty good. Work as advertised but it is almost too bright. As it casts everywhere around I tend not to use the main beam outdoor as it attracts insects due to the amount of light it casts. But great for in the shed or indoor power output. The wave on/off works as advertised but the novelty wears off and I've never had reason to use it.
Im getting a Geordi La Forge vibe..
With some addressable LED tape, it could also become a cylon eye scanner from classic BSG.
Side LED torch reflects from glasses if you wear those.
The strip light tends to get warm after a while.
Sensor light part stops working randomly some times.
Otherwise works OK.
My housemate owns this and loves it. Uses it for soldering and other electronics work and reckons it's the best purchase he's made in a while.
Can't speak of this torch but got this years back with the wave on/off feature and while it seemed handy at first, in reality kept turning torch on or off accidentally.
Also when turning off had to make sure you weren't looking. Being pretty bright the reflection off your hand while waving was quite blinding and so never ended up using that feature. (Good headtorch for ~$8 though)
I have a couple of these and I think they're great, fanatic for camping.
350LM is piss weak
would love to know real world experience reviews of this item
