[PC, Steam] Days Gone A$23.55 @ Instant Gaming

821

Possibly the cheapest ever for PC version of this great game. Just bought one, paid $24.04 with PayPal. The key arrived instantly and activated on Steam without any issues.
EDIT: BEWARE: some posters reported that after accepting the payment, the store requested buyer's ID to complete the purchase. That wasn't the case for me (first purchase in from Instant Gaming) but you can cancel your order if that happens to you.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2021

Excellent price. I enjoyed this game much more than I thought I would (considering what I'd read online). I'd love to see a sequel one day.

    • +10

This game 100% deserves a sequel!

    • +4

It's not the best paced game but really becomes it's own once you've upgraded to a point and unlocked some of the world. I think a lot of people simply didn't play long enough to see it, but thinking it was just going to be a slow kind of game.

      • +3

Exactly when you're kitted and start using tactics for the hordes :)

        • Getting gold on some of the challenge modes was tough, but damn it feels good once you beat one that you've been stuck on for ages.

    • same

    • Right. I also never thought I would eliminate all the hordes post-credit but then I did… :-D

  • wow steam sales are insane right now!!

  • +1

Waited for months to buy this. Grabbed it yesterday for $45. fml

    • +1

I was close at $31 on cdkeys, $45 though - can you refund?

      • I've applied for a refund. Just have to wait and see.

  • +7

The site has some other good bargains like Horizon Zero Dawn for around $20 for example

    • Thanks for this, that's a great price 👍

  • Loves this game. Finished it on PS4 and got the steam version for the insane mods.

    • It has mods?!?!?! Now I'm excited!

      • +2

        Upsize your hordes :)

  • Such an underrated game. But I already have the Platinum on Playstation so probably won't play through again.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Decent price and all i hear is good things about this game.

  • +1

Hmm good price, but looking at the reviews, the game world is a little dull. They seem to give it only a bit above average scores. I might pass. But thanks OP.

    • +5

First 10 hours is a dull experience. Once you get leveled up and the world encounters start opening up, it becomes fantastic. I'd recommend it.

    • +2

I absolutely loved this game, big fan, reminded me a lot of TLOU.

    • +4

Reviewers were harsh in my opinion. It does start off slow but once you start progressing through the story and start unlocking things the game gets good.

      • +1

To be fair, no game should take 10 hours to get interesting.

And this is coming from someone who thinks Days Gone is PC GOTY.

        • Yet, a lot of great games have bad starts.

Kingdom Hearts 2 (Hours of fun stuck with Roxas)
Persona 4 (about 1-2 hours before getting to the dungeon crawling)
          Zelda Twilight princess (tedious tutorials)
MGS 4 & 5 (exposition, exposition, tutorial, exposition)
Red dead redemption 2 (has a long tutorial prologue before you can start exploring)
The witcher ( the start is the reason people looked over this one and either went straight to 2 or 3)

Storywise any CRPG or DnD style game - In recent history Pathfinder Wrath of the righteous opened up quite a bit at the 10 hours mark.
In any of the Disgaea games, but that's probably like 20+ hours, to be honest. The list can keep going on.

No game should take 10 hours to get interesting, but we seem to get a lot of games that take the time to be interesting end up great despite this supposed detriment

    • One of my fav games from the PS4, not sure why it reviewed so poorly.

      • Wasn't woke enough.

        • +2

Read that one article about the lack of race representation in the zombie horde? That was a laugh and a half.

  • Great game with a great story. 100% worth it at this price.

  • +2

Paid, they took the money, then didn't give me my game until I uploaded a photo of my drivers license, (profanity) that

    • +1

Standard protocol to avoid stolen credit cards

    • Received code right away.

      • yeah it's random, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt ask for your ID for instant gaming.
Worst part is when they reject ur ID and refund you.

    • +1

Yeah - I didn't realise they'd be asking for that. Told them to jog on and refund me. ID is worth more than $20 - OP needs to edit the post

      • +1

Thanks for the suggestion! Post updated.

        • ahh I've figured out why - its only if you use paypal. Id remove my disgraceful negative vote now if i could. Excellent find op

  • Good find, OP! Finished this game on PS4, but the graphic on PC looks awesome. Bought it.

  • Free on ps5

    • Was free for PS plus users, maybe still is for ps4/ps5.

  • +4

One of the better story telling games I've played in a long while, even pulls on the heartstrings every now and then.
    Bit predictable though.

  • +1

Do i need IG platform to play this game? i have steam account but never bought from IG.
hope ican download from steam aftet purchased here at IG?

    • +1

No, you don't need to download anything from them. They sell you a Steam key that's available to you right after the purchase. Just copy and paste that into Steam and here you go.

    • It's a cd key that activates on steam

  • Is this site legit? Looks like grey market?

    • Well, the key they sold worked for me. Also, there have been a few past deals from this store on ozbargain.

    • It's based in China…so most likely a grey market. There are some that are reliable, others not so much.
It's really a matter of if you can morally justify screwing developers out of earnings if it is a grey market.

  • +1

    Just got it, thanks

  • +4

    Underrated masterpiece

    • -1

      Definitely not a masterpiece

      • -1

Definitely is. One of the greatest open-world games in existence.

  • +1

Thanks OP - grabbed a copy
