Whoa this is a good price! I just ordered one. Yep 46L 'only' but it's still good if you're going away for a couple of nights and just need to keep milk, a 6-pack and couple of veg cold.
I checked a few other websites for the 46L one, it's still sitting around $160-200.
Other sizes available at Supercheap if you're closer to a SC store.
Thanks!!
do you guys know if theres much difference between the 2 of them?
There appear to be minor cosmetic differences. I know the Supercheap ones are identical to the blue Evakool boxes on their website. I suppose the biggest thing to look out for is the thickness of the walls (insulation) which determines how long it can keep the ice cold.
Wow that's amazing. We own this Esky, it's very good quality. Got it for almost double the price.
Any differences besides the price, between Evakool and the Domestic brand one?
Some review state that it won’t fit soft drink bottles standing upright, can anyone please clarify if it’s true?
Stated dimensions, converted to litres:
6.4 * 3.25 * 3.3 = 68.64
So these are external dimensions, not capacity. This means that whatever the height is, it's at least 5cm less than 33cm.I found my answer
585 x 275 x 280 mm
Not enough for bottles to stand up
How much better are these than a normal 'esky' type box?
A lot. These are rated to hold ice for 10 days.
On a recent camping trip with temps of 20 deg kept in the shade mine was good for around 3-4 days which is about the longest we’d ever camp for.
These are well built and this is about $40 cheaper than what I paid for it at Supercheap.
I have one of these when they went on sale about 2 years ago.
Build quality is fantastic. 2 bags of ice stayed kept my drinks and food cold for about 3 to 3.5 days. Great esky for the price.
I’d ordered one of these but they canceled my order on the Monday. Apparently out of stock.
I rang about 3-4 other retailers to price match but nope, because it’s out of stock. I just think they don’t want to because it seems below cost.
