I am currently on the 150/50 a month plan paying $99 a month about 7 months into a 24 month contract.
I signed up to this when it was $119 a month as NBN FTTN copper was useless but about 6 weeks in they dropped the price to $99 for this plan so I restarted my 2 year contract to get the $99 rate.

24 month contract is free install
12 month contract is $199 install
No contract is $399 install.

How does fixed wireless cost more than NBN? I'm with Node1 paying $109/pm for LTU 250/50. Looking at $129/pm for AussieBB 250/ 25?

    • Fair point. I edited that line out from the deal post to keep it to the facts.

  • Speed seems faster than NBN fttn, is there a downside like latency or congestion?

just signed up. strange they didn't take any payment details.

Called up and said im about 11km from the qv1 tower.

Should be decent right? A bit worried about the ping.

    Currently FTTN max 40mb download

  • My current FTTN has a speed test of 85/30 with 8ms ping on superloop, do you think it is worth the change over? Is mobile coverage a consideration because mine is awful, even though I have a 4g telstra tower 800m away and a 5g tower 1.2k away, I am in a black hole.

  • tempted as i'm currently on spintel 25/5 which they just jacked up to $55/month.
but i don't want to buy another modem and commit to another 2 year contract. gah.

if your existing modem has an ethernet WAN port you can still use that

I was also not keen on the 2 year contract - but the way I looked at it the termination fees were no worse off then the no contract install options. And NBN was garbage so it was definately by far the best option (vs 4G)

      ie:
cancel within first 12 months $399 cancel fee
cancel over 12 months but less than 24 months and $199 cancel fee.

I'm planning to move out of WA next year so will probably end up with the $199 cancel fee - if i end up staying in Perth through the end of 24 months than WIN - I saved the setup fee and didn't pay the cancel :D
