Just what I'd been looking for. Great deal.
If you don't already have a motherboard, grab that $699 12700KF + Z690M combo instead (7PM eastern)
Isn't it $799? (Is this the link you're referencing? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/666892)
Uhhhm I think I got my comment mixed up, yes it's $799.
The 12600KF + Z690M combo is $699 which would be a better option than the 5800X which was on another deal page.
How would the 12700KF deal compare to this deal if I already have an X570 MB (current CPU is a 3900XT and MB is Asus Crosshair 8 Hero)?
Do you really need an upgrade if you have a 3900XT…?
I guess I don't need to upgrade, but it does seem like a bit of a performance boost for games (either the 5900X or the 12700KF). I game at 1440p 144Hz, and vid card is 6900XT. Not sure if you guys think I'll see a noticeable difference at that resolution?
Also, does anyone know, is the 5xxx series of CPUs supposed to be the last ones released on socket AM4, or is AMD releasing something else before switching to AM5?
@Ice009: They're releasing the 3D V-Cache refresh early next year.
Seriously, with what you have now, I wouldn't be thinking of upgrading again until at least AM5.
@MiscOzB: Yeah, that is what I was leaning towards, thanks, I'll wait it out then.
How profitable is this to mine with optimal undervolt? Asking for a friend.
NO.
$3/day raptoreum by looks of it
Guys do you still get a voucher with eBay plus signup? Can't see it anywhere ..
Any more offfers to stack on this?
Oh screw it ya got me with the future proofing talk! I only like upgrading every few years anyway :)
I managed to "stack" with discounted gift cards which was odd as didn't think it'd work.
My after limit was only $600 so grabbed $44.25 of cards from Suncorp for $42.92 and it all worked!
Makes me wonder if I'd grabbed say $643 worth of giftcards… And afterpaid $1
I don't need this…. but if I did…. :)
