Give me the $80 Aldi pod machine!
Under half price?! Pfffftz.
Why do reps persist with quoting these rediculous RRP prices? When was the last time you sold one of these for $3999?
A quick google shows they are selling for $2000 - not even on sale. So yeah it's a deal at $300 less, but its not half price; saying it is fools no-one and just makes you look dodgy.
Crazy inflated RRPs seem to be the norm these days…daily deal sites would be wiped out without them!
saying it is fools no-one and just makes you look dodgy.
It also breaks consumer laws.
I agree it looks dodgy, but I doubt it breaks any laws. The RRP is set by the manufacturer, the sale price is set by the retailer, he is just quoting both.
If he said "under half normal price", THAT would probably break the laws. His "under half price" statement is vague enough that it could mean "under half recommended retail price"
Seriously that is 606 coffees at $2.80 before I pay off this beast and then comes electricity (+carbon tax), coffee, milk, clean-up. I'll consider it after 1.5years and for now will use my money get served at my local shop (that will hopefully keep him in job)!
a fair point, but where to you buy a decent coffee for $2.80 ?
Hah! Sad but true.
Good luck finding good coffee that cheap in Melbourne without ripping off one of those Hare Krishna places…Which won't be good coffee anyway.
Thanks OP I was looking for one, this is a good price.
for 1700 get the breville double boiler + a decent grinder instead.
Much better alternatives out there if you don't want built in.
