Tossing up between this and the Hydragun for $359…

    • I just bought it as a gift. Haven’t used one before.

I’d probably go with the $300 one if you’re serious about using one. 👍

      • No. I was being factitious

        • Loves the facts. I think you mean facetious.

        • See the detailed reply from blonky below…good luck! 👍

I got this exact model about a year ago, for about ~$70. I don't regret it.
I have only used the "normal" ball-shaped head on it so far. It loses force as it loses battery, but we don't often use it at it's maximum strength anyway so it's fine. Using mainly for shoulders and lower back, avoiding spine and neck.

I bought this one a couple of months ago for $90; $50 is a steal

In reality it's nothing compared to the Theragun which is also on sale at shavershop (for $486) for anyone curious as I bought both after this one wasn't cutting it for me to help with physio exercises. The amplitude of this one is around 4mm where as the Theragun Elite is 16mm; you really notice the difference in impact. The stall force is also hugely different; with the Homedics as soon as you push into your muscles the motor stalls (1/10 pressure) where as the Theragun can really be jammed in there to get a deep muscle massage (10/10 pressure, imho). I'll post a video showing the difference at some point. Yes, AVE on youtube did a teardown and said the quality doesn't match the price, but I'm not convinced you can get any other consumer device with the same level of power

    • Thanks.

    Which to get???

      I haven’t used either. I bought it as a gift. 😃

See blonky’s review above - anything around the $100 would probably lose pressure if you push it against your muscles too hard. If you’re serious about using one, around the +$300 would be your best bet.
