Did a quick google, they were Australian Jerky Co before Sep.

  • Possible code SAVE104U for extra 10% off

  • Tried that SAVE104U, code doesnt stack, but still bought, 1 variety pack and 2 hickory 92G.

I guess we will see :D. Came out to be like 2$ per 50G, cheaper than anything I've seen.

    • Thanks. I only got the code after I ordered so wasn't sure. BTW got the Value pack + 2 individuals to make up to $41 and free postage.

fantastic deal, got some thanks, I've had the BBQ Boys stuff before, it's pretty decent, for this price hell yeah.

Loaded up trying a few brands. Kept adding as the 35% off at checkout kept going under $40. Thanks OP!!!!

  • hope it’s better than dr proctors

  • Got 2 packs. Cheers OP.

  • Pretty crappy website. No ingredients listed either. But looks like a good deal if it's legit.

  • Ordered some. Let's see how they taste :)

  • The two reasons to choose them don't really speak to me tbh.

    Cheers for the deal though.

  • Thanks mate. Bought about $50 worth of jerky for my wife to try as a Christmas present. Champion.

  • Anyone can comment on how tender/chewy are the 2 jerky varieties?

    Shipping confirmation already

  • Me too shipping confirmation and in Aust post app. Agree the website looked dodgy. Think they switched brand names and went to quick to market with new page. I did some backtracking and it all leads to a bloke in QLD with several businesses .

  • Just got my 2 orders. It's one of the driest jerkys Ive ever had, but I'm not sure if it's just the way they do it or the close use-by-date.

The use-by-date was something I wasn't aware of either but checking the site again it does mention it.

I won't order this brand again but for this price I can't really complain.

I feel like they recently added that. Looking at the history on the 28th, it wasn't there:

      https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:KR1SIo…

Will check what I get when it arrives.

        Well there you go..

I did get on to there site to make a complaint but I saw the use by date warning and figured I must of missed that when I ordered.

EDIT: I've sent an email mentioning the Google Cached page not having that warning when I ordered it, I'll see what they say.

EDIT 2: The fact no one in this thread mentioned the use-by-date aswell makes me think this warning was recently added.

I still had the page up from this morning and they didn't have use-by-dates on then. They must have just updated it sometime today.

    • Yeah I didn't like it at all. The few small packs i got of other brands are good I wouldn't use this website again

      • Hey Capitalshark,
Would you mind sharing what brands you’ve tried and review/recommendations, please?
I’m starting my jerky journey but missed the boat on the sales (heh). Just placed an order for a selection of 4hunters wares. Almost placed a Dr Proctors order too, but not feeling confident.
        Cheers!

Ordered on the 26th and received on the 29th, super quick shipping. Tastes like nothing, cant even notice a difference between the different varieties, really dry too probably the worst jerky i have ever had… I know its cheap but honestly its not even worth this price may as well get some cardboard to chew on.

Also what up with the used by date? 100% the warning wasnt on the page when i ordered it. I wanted to ask for my money back and had a look at their refund policy, it say make a calim within 14 days ect but there is zero contact info on the site not even an email and the social buttons just go to shopify except for instagram so i guess im gonna have to make an account for that. Maybe i missed somthing but i dont know.

Anyway dont make the mistake i did by wasting your money on this crap product and sketchy site.

  • Hi ******,

    Thanks for your email.

Our sincerest apologies regarding the updated information of the expiry date on the product page of this item. Our Web Team was supposed to have this uploaded at the time of the sale & they failed to do so, so it was uploaded first thing Monday morning.

The BBQ Pit Boys range was originally manufactured exclusively for a retailer who then decided they didn't want to take it. The packages are all stamped with a Best before Date solely for that retailer, Beef jerky does not spoil (become unfit to eat) like eggs, milk, cheese, and bread. Unlike these perishable foods, beef jerky comes with a "best-by" date versus an expiration date. As long as beef jerky has been produced, packaged, and stored properly, which it definitely has been, it can be enjoyed for very long periods of time.

Hopefully this information can set your mind at ease so that you can still enjoy your jerky for a long time. However if you are not happy with this outcome, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Not sure what I'm going to do, can't really be arsed packaging it up and returning it.

  • I received my one today. Trying the salt - pepper - garlic one it is similar to the Dr Proctor's one. I don't mind it myself and it's quite tasty. The black pepper is quite strong.

I don't find it too dry, dry is Geronimo Jerky, which is like crispy jerky.

The quality of the beef seems okay and it is on the leaner side.

  • BBQ Pit Boys Pitmasters Jerky received…
Worst tasting jerky I have purchased/ tasted.
All “flavours” tasted the same which is basically like nothing. Too dry to boot! Would rather eat cardboard.
