    • thats messed up…

    • "wouldnt honour it and cancelled"

      for what reason?

      • they said the Kinect sports 2 with Kinect sports for free was not allowed, and they said pre-order o star wars not allowed.

still waiting on Gerry to give me a call, he taking his time!

  • any ideas how long delivery takes from HN?

  • Harvey Norman sold me a EU version of Saints Row The Third on PS3 with Australian Classification stickers on it…is this how they can afford to sell games at such a price? -.-

hey anyone still havent got store confirmation to pickup their games from melbourne chadstone??? its taken 2 days still no email….

    • My order from QV but still no email. Seems the HN in Vic response slower…

  • I just got an email about my order i chose to pick up from QV Melb - all 5 items i ordered are on back order and will be ready in 14 days :|
my paypal has been charged so not sure if ill wait

Great deal. Picked up my title this morning. Bargain and quick service from Harvey Norman.

Hopefully this sort of business model is sustainable as I've picked up some truly great buys there over past three months.

Bit of whining going on from some who purchased more than two game limit and then got rolled. Bird in the hand dudes, bird in the hand!

    • i purchased under the 2 game limit and im getting rolled.

      • Sorry to hear that kurichigo - take it further if you have the time.

  • I ordered 5 games on Wednesday and at the time they were in stock even on Thursday they were coming up as in stock and today I get a email saying 3 have been back ordered and it'll take 14 days. Big fail Harvey, gonna cancel my order now.

    • Do you think you will find those games cheaper in the next 14 days?

      • No but that compulsive urge to get a good deal and buy games at 50% off is no longer there after dealing with HN.

Also I bought a HP micro server instead, should keep me occupied for a while, or until Diablo 3 comes out.

  • Just received my games, order on the 28th, 2 days. Mass Effect 3 and Assassin Creed: Revelations seem to be Australian stock (Sealed), but Black Ops is UK stock with Australian classification sticker on it(Not Sealed). Overall, pretty good.

  • 14 day delay for pickup at QV for a second order (streuth)

    • -1

I have a 14 day delay on my only order from QV, and a friend with the same.

Why did I give these idiots a chance? Should've just imported from the UK like I usually do.

  • +1

14 day wait for sa, figured wont get the game that cheap elsewhere so willing to wait. hate to wait!!

  • All 5 games - 3 in first order, 2 bought the next day have gone through. The 3 arrived already and the other 2 are in the post.

  • I got a tax invoice and a pickup confirmation email at 2:17AM last night claiming my 2 back-ordered games are ready to go. Yet if I check the stock indicator on the website they're still out of stock. Gonna have to call them later today before I drive all the way over there.

    • Mine were under the desk wrapped in the invoice before I actually received the email to pick them up. I think they have put everyone's aside till the tax invoice has been processed and pick up details have been sent.

Just had a pretty bad experience with Harvey Norman.
I bought the games at 50% off online when it said they were in stock at the QV store and went in on Thur to pick them up. Was told they would be ready on Friday. Called up Friday, was told they were not there.

Called up today (saturday) talked to some sales reps and had to talk to the manager Zel. Ending up telling me the same thing the sales people, I asked him should I have to make a formal complaint to Consumer Affairs and he just told me, and I quote "Then do it, I don't care" and ended up being hung up on.

So I don't get it, I get sold and item and payed for it when the website says it has it in stock to be picked up, and then when I go to pick it up it's not in stock?

And then I talk to the manager and he gives me that kind of terrible customer service? How can he even be a manager if he does not care about his company and customers?

His sales people were very polite (Ken and especially Mat) and I'm sure they have been dealing with irate customers all day.
    How is he a manager?
I don't even care about the small amount of money I saved on the games and that I am not getting them when I should be, but how it was handled was the worst customer experience I have ever had.

    • Go to customer services and tell them what you told us.

    • I got mine from the same store, I don't think you spoke to Zel though, he is a she :\

Had to get their sales guy to check why I was getting EU version and they had no idea. They said they aren't getting them from their import site so it looks they their suppliers are boning them!

I haven't heard anything from HN QV as well, ordered and paid on 28/03 but no notification besides the order confirmation.

I agree that is a very bad exp.

  • got to pick up my game tomorrow took a while from ordering til i got the tax invoice/ advice to pick up

  • +1

Has anyone been delivered their games yet? I've had no contact from them whatsoever regarding my order.

  • +1

I haven't, I ordered 2 ps3 games on the 28/3/12 and received order confirmations it was for pick up at Wiley Park store.

Spoke with the manager on 29/3/12 he said that we have not processed any store pickup orders (what ever that means lol) Other guy said it will take 5 days - wtf.

I sent emails to there customer support on 29/3/12 and all I have received back was an support confirmation email on 30/3/12.

Tried to call the online support no one will pickup.

I understand that there is a lot of orders but the lack of communication and miscommunication is a real Joke.

You order online you chose a store in big bold green letters it states in stock with the store realistically it should only take less than 2hrs to process a single order that's being generous and if in fact it was in store stock they would only have to go out back to the store room and pick the game.

    This is getting really ridiculous.

  • Anyone received a confirmation email from the Nunawading VIC Store? I ordered these games last week on Wednesday, at that time they were in stock at Nunawading according to the website, I never received an email telling me I could pick them up, I looked again on Friday or Saturday and they were still in stock. Still nothing today and now it says one of the 2 games I ordered is out of stock.

    • Did you get a call? I never got the email either, but they called me confirming I could pick my games up. Give them a courtesy call in regards to item.

      • Nope never got a call, but thanks, will call them and see what they have to say. Might be a good thing if they have run out as I already have a backlog of games to get through.

  • got my games delivered today.

    • was it by some random courier?

      • yes, weird, isnt it?

        • Did you get an email saying they had been posted or did they just turn up?

        • only email I got was when I placed the order.

        • Now, i don't know what to expect. I work 9 to 5 and i doubt they would leave the game in mailbox will they?

        • +1

Yes it is. The email was from temando who then pass it to fast courier or something. I could pick it up faster than they ship!

  • +1

Well I'm still waiting for a refund for buying that Save the World PS3 game that was $0.00, after they told me I they couldn't fulfill the order. It was there stuff up in the first place and it has been over a week now and no refund.

I rang on Friday last week and they said I would be refunded either that day or the Monday the next week, it is now Tuesday…

    • +1

That's what I was told for my refund either Friday or Monday never got a email so I opened a PayPal dispute at 6am this morning, I can escalate it tomorrow which I will do if they haven't replied.

      • cool, I'm gonna ring em again tomorrow morning and give them an earful!

Pretty poor considering it was there fault that we were able to purchase the item, should have been rectified ASAP, not take even longer than what they state on their website for a typical refund time period to be (within 7 days).

        • It might take a while to get through to them, I was on hold for 40 minutes last time.

        • Still no contact from Harvey Norman so I escalated the claim to PayPal.

  • So no refund yet??

  • Finally got my games today, both Australian stock.

  • +1

very poor service, have not heard anything from them after placed my order and made the payment 7 days ago.
will open a paypal dispute next week.

    • called the store and finally receive the 14 day delay email…thinking if I should refund it.

  • It seems a number of people who ordered >2 titles via delivery received them, though nobody who used Store Pickup was allowed >2.

I ordered >2 as there was no mention of limits (added to cart from PS3 listings, not item detail) and haven't got anything besides an Order Number when the order was submitted.

    • +1

      This ^

I ended up ordering a tonne on that day, pretty damn annoyed that I've just NOW been notified that I have items in backorder. It wasn't until a day or two ago that I was made aware that the deal applied for <2 games, yet nothing has happened so far. I better get my games! Aha. I wanted to enjoy myself these holidays yet my early holiday week has been tarnished because I have to wait another 10 days. I'm not even sure if I have to apply the extra 5-10 days ONTOP of that if I want it delivered. Not impressed.

      From the deal I got:
      * PS3 320GB w/ extra controller + Killzone 3 + Batman Arkham City
      * UFC Undisputed 3
      * Gran Turismo 4
      * NBA 2K12 (x2)
      * Forza 4
      * HDMI cable

Pretty peeved that notifications have been scarce, technically I've been back-ordered but my status on the website hasn't changed. Terrible support if you ask me.

  • +1

Still waiting on both my games…

  • I ordered a game, which turned out to be out of stock. Was told I'd get a refund on it but I'm still waiting.
Did anyone who needed a refund actually get their money back yet?

    • Not yet, I have raised a claim with PayPal for a refund though

      • nup, no reply from my email i sent them yesterday morning, looks like we're going without our money till after easter (BASTARDS!)

    • Apparently they [refunds] tend to be processed within 7 days, or so we are told.

  • This is shit, no contact whatsoever. At least a courtsey email stating if the item has been backlogged or item has been shipped. It irks me that payment was taken out prior dispatch date. IF amazon, zavvi do it why can't HN? I WILL NEVER BUY ONLINE FROM HN EVER AGAIN!

  • does anyone know contact details for harvey norman online sales?

that customer query form is pathetic.

    • I was talking to their personnel on their Facebook page, instant help (relatively compared to their online support service :p). They followed it up apparently and I finally got a reply on my query.

      So try that.

  • +4

This is crap, went to pick up my order and they tried to offload a non-shrinkwrap (open) Region 2 game on me. Before signing for the games, I asked to inspect them and the person who got the games (inside tied up bag) went on the defensive immediately and only got the games out when I insisted. The game had no Australian classification sticker on it.

Manager was called and he tried to bluff his way through it and said they don't sell games not in shrink wrap - before retracting that statement when he saw I was collecting them and hadn't signed yet. He had no answer about selling region 2 games. The manager contradicted himself a number of times as he was fumbling with an explanation. I refused to take the order.

HN are now on my black list. Will price match with other stores from now on.

my order came yesterday, with the start the party: save the world ps3 game for $0, awww yeah!!

  • mass effect 3 looks like UK stock with australian MA sticker over it

    • I got AU stock, there have been reports that some stock are uk. Is it legal to do that over here without telling the customer? Surely the customer has to be informed thats its imported stock.

      • That's what I would of thought.

  • did yours come with a manual

  • quite a few games aren't remanufctured for aus market

  • Just cancelled my order of 3 games. As annoyed as I am with HN, the guy on the phone from the online sales was pretty easy going on the matter - so credit to HN for employing somoene with a brain. He gave me the option of cancelling the UK game or all 3 after I explained my displeasure over the circumstances.

  • So did anyone received their refund yet? Its been 2 weeks for me already and I still haven't got it.

    • I don't know your payment method, but my CC refund was in my bank the next day.

      • I paid with a NAB CC. I assumed all credit refunds are the same.. right?

  • +2

    still no refund
I raised a paypal dispute, then got an email saying it had been assigned to a customer assistant
    then nothing for days
    so escalated to a claim
then i get a call saying i have to drop the paypal claim to get the refund, as they have no money in their paypal account or something
I was told me refund would be processed yesterday
Still nothing, and no replies to my emails

I have 4 HN email addresses and just emailed them all before with read receipts
I now know that one of them has read my email

this is beyond a joke, I will never be buying from HN online again, and would have to think seriously if I was to buy instore. Stocked item only

    • You should of left the paypal claim escalated, mines been escalated for a week now and still no email from HN. I think paypal just deduct the money from HN paypal account after 10 days of no response to the claim.

      • well now the clowns have refunded the whole order so its going to take me a few weeks to get the money back to them

        • PayPal ruled the case in my favour, HN didn't even respond to the dispute and PayPal refunded my account.

  • Have still yet to receive my order…first email stating there would be a 3 day delay on the 28/3. Emailed HN (9/4) and was told on 10/4 that games should be arriving in store on the 11/4. Prob is, I paid for delivery, not to pick up…and still no word today even tho the mgr promised me he'd get back to me abt what is happening. Surely have given them long enough, will prob ask for refund tmw.

Absolute joke. NEVER dealing with HN ever again.

    • Agreed with you mate, I'll never buy anything from Harvey Norman again..

      • Yep, just got confirmation of a refund.

"While the refund has been actioned, the outstanding amount may take up to 2-3 working days before it appears on your financial statement."

I wonder if this is going to take another 3 wks before I hear anything lol.

        • +1

I received mine today, exactly 3 weeks after purchased.. I wrote to them last Wednesday..

        • Finally got my refund this morning. And so ends my dealings with HN!

  • I still have not received my refund. I opened a dispute and had no response from harvey norman for 5 days so this morning i escalated it to a claim.

    Absolutely useless company!

    • Write to this guy/girl. :) (I cant tell if it's a guy or a girl)

      • thanks HandsomeMonkey, will do.

  • Finally received notification it's available for pickup.
I didn't bother going for a refund from all the messing about from other ppl so rode it out…

    My story is
    - ordered for pick up at QV
    - received email 2 days later with the 14 day delay till stock
    - sent them online query a day after the 14 days was up asking for update
    - received 2 emails from the store advising no eta - waiting for stock
    - received "Customer Feedback Survey" 11am this morning - gave them lowest score possible and a fair whack in the more comments section
    - received "Ready for pickup" email 4.30pm today….

    hmmm, suspicious? Don't care
Fingers crossed it's there tmr morning when i go pick up

    • Did you get the games?

  • I just picked up my La Noire (PS3) today, after 4 weeks of waiting. I didn't receive any 'ready for pickup' notification, just called the store on a whim to see if they had any in stock. I was surprised to see the HN price tag on the packaging, leading me to believe it was up for sale, and not set aside for me.

  • finally found out my game should be getting to me by early next week, after having to ring peter at nourlunga store 5 times…. no getting in contact to let me know whats going on, had to pester them till I could get some kind of answer on when it will get there… I will NOT be buying from HN again!!!

  • Anyone not recieved their games yet? Picked up one a couple of days after ordering but still waiting on another?
