From my previous exp, Belong system is very good at identifying disposable email address. It wont be easy to register multiple accounts. Gmail trick certainly does not sustain a manual check. I wont recommend doing this at the risk of losing main number.
Your way may work theoretically, but actually lots of work behind.
@Neoika: I don’t care about the referrals. Can I activate the sim with a new number and transfer the data to my main one? Happy to get rid of the new number once the transfer is done.

I am actually buying this SIM for banking up data for the whole family plus $20 referral credit.
The other $20 referee credit is kind of useless as I plan to cancel the service before the end of the second month.
I am not sure if Belong will frown upon this. I don't see anything about it in their rule book.

It seems to be double data for 12 mths upon activation (must not change plan) till 13 Jan after this triple data promo. Found it in Coles upcoming catalog.
Just saw the upcoming Coles catalogue starting from 8th December 2021.
So, that means there will be an one full day cross-over between the triple data promo, and the Coles double data promo.
I assume that if you buy the $80 SIM starter pack from Coles, Belong's database will resolve it to a double data promo when you go onto activate on 8th December?

Is your $45 SIM starter pack from Coles? If so, someone at Marketing got their dates all mixed up.

Think of that the Coles catalog was set some mths ago, but 2 days triple data promo extension was not planned. Double data probably starts tomorrow.

Belong have today announced double data for 12 months if you stay on the on your chosen plan. Not bad, especially if you have a grandfathered $10 plan still in the household.

Not a bad promo for medium-high usage users.
Got 240GB as my airbnb stay didn't have wifi but I only used 5GB which is really strange given I watched youtube, Netflix and AppleTV+. My regular woolworths mobile consumes so much data when I watch a single youtube video.
