Following on with Amazon's Black Friday sales, They have replenished stock on only the white model so get in quick before this is sold out
I personally ordered the white model as it is a matte glass finish which looks really good based on the videos and isn't slippery or a finger magnet.

For those who want a case, I've also ordered this via Ebay - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/234044674957

I've received the same case for my old Poco X3 NFC and it's very well designed and Spigen is a reputable brand.

They restocked a few times already! The only concern is the screen dimming issue and the low quality camera. Other than that. This is a good phone but I would rather getting a Samsung s20 for $40 more or xiaomi note 10 pro for better camera or poco x3 pro for 32% cheaper!

      Thanks mate, I did do some research before hand and the screen dimming issue was addressed by a software update;

100% agree with you on the X3 Pro, Owning the X3 NFC it's a very very good handset for the price and much cheaper too if you don't require the OLED panel or more aesthetically pleasing design.

I agree with you that the camera is fairly average but for a large part of the population (not tech enthusiast or photography buffs) I would say the photos get the job done.
See this review for samples and feedback - https://www.gsmarena.com/poco_f3-review-2248p5.php

With Amazon's hassle free 2 year warranty it's a darn good purchase.

Whilst I agree with you on the S20 FE being a better buy for $50 more, That deal is long gone and as a result there is nothing really that comparable to the F3 for performance to price. (Old expired S20 FE deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/663816#comment)

Honestly, If you're cross shoppping around this price range there isn't much avaliable in the Australia retail space.
      Motorola Edge 20 5G 128GB - $559 @ JB (lower CPU but similar features)
Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G - $497 @ JB (lower CPU but similar features)
realme 7 5G 128GB - $351 @ JB (Probably the best bang for buck handset minus OLED panel and lower classed CPU - I actually own this one too)

The only other phone I was cross shopping the F3 with was https://www.amazon.com.au/realme-GT-Master-128GB-Black/dp/B0… but the Poco got the final vote in the end.

        Well said, thanks ZackyD

  • Just wondering, how's the X3 Pro's camera compared to this F3? Both phones I wouldn't mind upgrading too, though the X3 Pro is cheaper. Thanks in advance.

  • Im looking at Xiaomi 6 +128 (Note 10 Pro). I prefer the camera over gaming ability. Is 6 + 128gb too low though?

I've used low-end Android phones with 4GB of ram and I notice it's pretty average in terms of performance.
6GB is the minimum amount I'd aim for in a Android phone.

will wait until black friday to pull the trigger - coupled with 20 bux off amex as well

have tossed up between this and the redmi note 10 pro

personally, i think this phone will be future proof for the next few years with 5G, NFC and regular updates

gcam should be able to fix the supposed poor camera quality on this.

    • Hopefully Amazon reduce it further on Friday.

The phone covers pretty much all bases and I see it easily lasting several years assuming you don't drop it. Haha

Also, based on this comparison against the S21, It's camera is more than decent enough

  • Looks like another $3.50 discount is the max that Amazon UK is willing to offer for Black Friday.

    • yep, bought the white one yesterday with 10% cashback from shopback

Ordered mine on 19 Nov, 2021 and arrived via DHL to Sydney just now.
Very pleased and phone is amazing.

ordered black friday, arriving today, less than a week delivery from the UK! amazing

    • That's awesome, Yep can't fault Amazon and their customer service/delivery.
Never had any issues with warranty or returns and they literally go above and beyond.

Hope you're happy with the phone as I am, would you mind testing if VOLTE and VOWIFI works for you?
      https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/cjuax5/activate_vol…

I can get VOLTE using Circle Life (Optus MVNO) but VOWIFI doesn't register

I tried ordering. 3 weeks later - After postal date being changed twice I then got - 'Order Cancelled'. No email just via website order history.

Contacted support. Told they don't post to my area. Told them that I live in a capital city…

    Support disconnected…

Re-contacted. Now am told they are out of stock. Website still showing as in-stock/available.

Was told if I still wanted it I would have to purchase a different one.. that now wasn't on-sale.

Further clarification turns out its the colour not available, not the phone.. You would think they would contact and say 'hey instead of white (which was all they had in stock at the time) would it be okay if we swapped it to black?'

They wouldn't price match. Was offered free postage..

Really felt like a bait and switch. Order during the sales. Then company realises too many people want the item so your order is cancelled.

Will look elsewhere. So disappointing. No phone for Christmas :(
