Landroid, so it should come in a land shape.

I sure wish the marketing team had some respect to the semantics.

May be price matching Mitre 10, which might be more convenient if people want to pickup locally rather than wait for shipping -> https://www.mitre10.com.au/worx-landroid-robotic-mower-wr139…

    • Looks like you are right.

  • Anyone have one? are they any good?

    • I have read they are quite good as long as you set up the boundary wire properly. I am going to get one but waiting for a better deal, likely around Christmas.

What size is your lawn? There are also cheaper brands like below which also do the job well.

But if you want to have the ability to add accessories (which I want), then this is the one.

    • Yes. Make sure to get the version with the LCD screen on the unit. They are very good, but read up thouroughly before installing the boundary wire. Once it's in you won't want to move the wire - especially after 6 months when it's disappeared into your lawn.

Works a treat though, although wish I could write a small book on everything to watch out for when installing the wire.

I'm still waiting for its 'Xiaomi' version for that half the cost and as good or maybe better… I really like it's concept but find it hard to justify the cost

    • You'll be waiting a long time, very few people use lawnmowers in Mainland China. Apparently they use whipper snippers. https://www.sinosplice.com/life/archives/2019/08/28/mowing-a…

    • I would wait for the Xiaomi version but the grass will be too long by then and do not want another letter from the council. :-)

I was considering a ride on for my 1000sqm lawn which is about $5k so this is much cheaper option and will save me a lot of time and back ache as well.

  • IIRC these need you to hammer in wires that act as a border for its operation. No GPS/camera/lidar operation.

    • That's correct but you only have to do it once and it takes only a few hours. The GPS/camera/lidar ones won't be available anytime soon so this is the only option if you want one now.

        Does Vacuum machine used GPS?

        • If you mean Robot Vacuum then as far as I know they use Lidar/Camera not GPS.

  • I wish there was a way to try one of these before committing to it. Too expensive to try and not be happy with the end result.

    • Amazon have a 30 day return policy if you want to try.

  • I have a block of about 1000 sq m - tossing up between the Worx and the Moebot. Think the significant price advantage for the latter might be the difference.

    • Same size lawn here. Mine has lots of trees so I am leaning towards Worx as it can become smarter with the accessories.

      • They really don't need to be smart though. My McCulloch Rob600 happily trundles around while I'm at work. It's never once complained that it could be more efficient if it was smarter, and it doesn't bother me because I don't need to be involved.

  • What's to stop someone from just kidnapping one of these while its mowing your lawn?

    • Its locked to your WiFi so it will become just a big brick for them. I am only going to use it in the backyard so not a problem for me.

Stories are floating around about robot mowers getting stolen. I wonder if you can hide an Airtag in one, that way you’ve got the ability to track it down if it gets taken.
I’m interested in this one but wondering about holding out for the Segway Navimow to become available.

    • How much are they?

      • Not released yet, rumoured for 2022 I think.

    Reduced further now.

    • At $1151 that's looking much more appealing!
