Sweet deals keep coming from Zavvi, and oh, 200th bargain FTW!

…and with that my friends, I am now entering Ozbargain semi-retirement :)

Nearly 3 years and having just cracked the top 10 "Top Deal Posters" (averaging 20 odd votes :P), it has been quite a ride…

Through the highs (crazy gaming bargains, free routers, LTS deals, $7 STB's, $20 Eneloops, half priced Bunnings vouchers), and the lows (COTD angst, not-so-free routers, destroying servers, spammage / sockpuppeting), the draw of an irresistible bargain had my "Reload Every" Firefox add-on working overtime!

Fear not as I will still post up the odd bargain that slips through the cracks (also, subscribe to this
thread), however the days of trawling for hours are gone, as my time will now be filled with elaborate past-times, such as parlour games, frisbee golf and empire building :D

(OK, really I just need more time to focus on my career, and I promised the missus I would stop staying up til midnight for the UK to update their online prices).

Special mention to GAME Aus, whose recent act of generosity / recognition had me thinking twice, and of course to all the mods and scotty, who incidentally just cracked 600 bargains himself!

And yes, that is a cool story…bro…

      "Usually dispatched within a month" from my order page.

      I used CDWOW in the UK for one of the Rock Band's before it had an .au release and it took 4-5 weeks.

      Good price anyway, not in a rush.

    Both excellent games. GOW3 took longer than expected to finish. Still trying to finish Forza 4 after god knows how many hours. Totally awesome game. Only wished Forza 4 had rain as a weather condition.

      i bought GOW 3 about nearly half year ago. not even started yet. i said to my friend back to that time, this would be my last xbox360 game. the only reason i have nt sold my xb360 is GOW3. (not that forza is any bad, just i know i dont have enough time to play something that will never end. the only game i bought here and paid nearly full was GT5. i only played for less than 10 hours. ）

    I bought forza 4 for 19 pounds last week. Used my 10% off voucher thinking it was a deal and now I find it has gone down further. Regardless, great deal mate!

    Forza 4 is a great deal, I think all these sites like zavvi, thehut etc in the UK are trying to clear their stock before this new tax import law into the UK starts on the 1st of April.

        If the item is warehoused inthe channel islands it's currently VAT free. Won't affect us as VAT doesn't apply.

          Basically low value items had no VAT/tax on them into the UK coming from the channel island, this is going to change on the 1st of April, so everything will be taxed (to the UK). Steptoe is correct, it won't affect us, however, they will be lowering their prices this week because the majority of their business will be in the UK and they are effectively saving 20% on items to the UK until the end of the month, so I reckon they'll be trying to clear stock.

    Got my surprise gift from GAME in the post today, and was blown away:

    • COD MW3 Xbox game (local copy)
    • WWE 12 Xbox game (UK promo copy)
    • COD MW3 4GB USB dog tags
