I've been a bit sensitive about reversing since backing into a car with my ute and being hit with a $500 excess. This appears to be an easy solution. Plug into tow bar, hook up to 7 pin connector and shove a wireless thingy into the cigarette lighter. Googling around found a few people using them and they seemed to be happy. The original price on the net was $199 which dropped to $99. Somebody on ebay paid $86 for one so $60 seems a reasonable price. Anyway bought one for myself. BTW if not sold out still available after the expiry date but at $70 plus postage.

probably cheaper on ebay
i'm not necessarily sure it is. When i was working in the mines everyone HATES reversing cameras. No depth perception, and you can't look out the back, and at the screen at the same time
cattop? Shouldn't it be catute?
Thats a really good idea for people who have commercial vehicles where its hard to fit traditional reversing sensors.
IMO reversing sensors are a must for every car, i've had them on the last 4 i've had, you can pick up a 4 head kit from ebay for $40 and have it fitted at the local auto electrician for approx $150
Great concept. Just wish there was a version that incorporated a reverse camera.
it should be possible, just need to find someone who makes them
Seems a good deal catt, but how can these thingies be secure so as not to be knocked off-as in sleight of hand?
