I wish I could still play R Kelly without feeling guilty.

        • -5

You can. Enjoy the musical genius of the guy. Forget about the off-field drama.

          • +1

@GodsSon23: When there were the death metal murders, I referred to it as ‘off field drama’ by band members too

          • +1

            @GodsSon23: It's not 'drama', it's a human trafficking conviction.

            • -1

@Moremoremore: Have you read the court documents? Did you follow the case? Or are you just talking out of your ass?

Your mind's telling you no. But your body, your body's telling you yes.

    • i wish it was $29.99

I wish it was 999.99 … Indian Rupees

  • +3

My subscription recently renewed at $80. Shattered! Need to turn off auto renew

    • +45

      Ozbargainers never turn that on.

      • +3

Thank you so much!!! I bought my subscription last year for the first time during Black Friday deals, not realising they automatically put you on auto-renew! Turned off now and waiting for the black Friday deals to kick in…

      • +7

No one turns that on. Companies automatically put it on

      • +10

        Never go full renew.

        • If your Plus account lapses, and you top up later…. do you loose any of the perks that you had before??

          • +3

@Francis87: No, all your previously claimed games will return.

          • +3

@Francis87: No but i have a horror story. My plus expired and i didn’t know it had ended, in that time i was playing through heavy rain and the game crashed and corrupted the save file. because my plus had ended i wasnt uploading to the cloud. My last cloud save was near the start of the game, and i wasnt playing it again. So to this day ive never finished heavy rain. I got to just after the sex scene between the leads. Something like 70% done.
So i leave it on but i get the discounts before hand

      • Maybe he/she is new. Ozbargain way is cancel all auto renewals, delete all Paypal auto registered payments, and cancel straightaway after signing up or obtain goods eg. Amazon S&S

    • +4

Especially when it's < $60 at least twice a year.

    • +2

you can refund it if it's not too far gone

      • How? i got charged last week and would like to cancel and renew with this

    • Try turning off subscription all together and not giving them a cent would be better

  • +3

Ok I’ll be that guy… off

    • +1

      Here's a + for your dedication.

    • I would rather pay 33% of the full price, than 33% off but unfortunately I don't think that's on offer? 😂

  • +5

can you stack on top of your current subscription? assume so since it says available for existing as well

    • +3

And the follow up question is how many years can you stack?

      • Yes you can stack and there's no known limit. Note that there was a 50% off earlier in the year for lapsed subscriptions. This offer is also annual/several times a year.

        • -1

This is wrong. It will fail to apply for the third year. Personally tested it. Unless you buy it then wait till then you can't use the code. My sub I had to 2023 Nov, when I tried to add another to stack back in September 2021 it fails. I had to wait till Nov 2021 to top up to Nov 2024

          • @neonlight: You may be thinking of Xbox that has 3 year limit? PS doesn't and lots of people have 5+ years of PS+.

            • @Hybroid: Nah man its applicable to PSN cards via cash rewards that's for sure

              • @neonlight: I’ve only ever bought mine through the PS app or physical cards, and mine expires in 2027.

      • -1

They is a limit you can only stack up to 3 years

    • +6

Yes. Last year I stacked 3 years so current expiry is Aug 2023.

      • +5

my expiry is right up until the ps6 arrives…

        • How many years have you stacked then?

          • +3

@Dan83: I’m currently stacked 10 years, until July 2031. Not sure what the limit is.

            • @Raptors: Wow for some reason I thought it was three years.

              • +3

@Dan83: So did I, until I tested the waters which each sale.

        • cool skipping ps5 great idea

  • Note: subs bought from PlayStation Store will automatically activate and add 12 months to the logged in account. Alternatively if you buy from a retail store you receive a code to redeem or gift as you please.

    • +1

      What does this comment mean?

      • +2

It means if you buy this from the Playstation store the 12 months starts now. If you buy a code the 12 months can start whenever you want, unless the code has an expiry date.

        • +1

Not quite. If you buy from the PS Store the 12 months are added immediately. So if you are due to expire in Feb 2022, you will now expire in Feb 2023.

          The rest is correct.

  • +1

    So only 4 months subscription?

    • -1

33% off 12 months would be 8 months.

      • +2

But 33% of 12 months would be 4 months

        • … which is irrelevant given the title of the post is 33% off PlayStation Plus 12 Months Subscription

  • -1

    Me: that's pretty decent
Me a second later: wait, I'm still yet to get value out of the 40 buck one a few months back

  • -7

It's not working, do you have to use a code or what

    • +41

      The code is WAIT48HOURS

      • +1

        lol
        You're legendary

      • +7

        Code isn't working

        • +3

          Try without caps lol

          • @vash12: Still doesn’t work. I even tried WAIT24HOURS.

        • +2

Can I get back to you Friday night?

      • Lmao. Good one mate

      • +1

Thanks dude, im only new on this platform still trying to get a hang of it, thanks for the warm welcome SmartA

        • All in good fun. Not having a go, we've all been there. Welcome!

  • +13

Don't know if I should keep renewing. It feels like 9 times out of 10 the 'free' games are just shovelware.

    • +5

Probably more like 10 out of 9.

    • +1

      yep…thinking the same thing

    • You do get some other benefits than just the games.
The cloud backup of all your saves is the biggest one for me. If something happens to your console all your save data isn't gone.
You also get some pretty decent extra PS+ discounts on top of existing discounts at times.
Lastly, not that I multiplayer, but if you want to engage in any kind of multiplayer at all, you pretty much have to have it.

  • -1

Still cost more than a year of Xbox game pass ultimate via Argentina

    • You can actually get 3 years of XGPU for about $35 from a Russian site for new account.

      • Can you please inform me of the steps to do this? Thanks in advanced mate!

Make sure you read the steps very carefully. Because they need the account details so I would just create a new dummy account and Home it to my Xbox then use my main account to play but this is your call.

And there is no guarantee that Microsoft won't call this back later on as it is after all unreally cheap. But so far so good.

          • @Maybe NoOne: So I actually have to give them my real email address and password I use for game pass?

  • do retailers like JB HI FI or EB Games price match for the cards?

    • +1

i think they should…they have in the past

    • +1

They don't necessarily match but I'm sure all the retailers will have similar deals and then Amazon should match.

  • +2

    Nov 19 is Black Friday?

    • 26th of November. Need to wait another week.

      • Thank you!

  • i need a PS5!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Considering most of the PS Now games are for the PS4, its a mixed benefit.

As for the PS5, try the smaller stores and put yourself on a few waiting lists. The odds aren’t awesome, but its worth hiking out on tuesdays to see if there’s stores where they have deliveries.

I got mine through JB Hi-Fi 2 weeks ago, from about when NSW lockdown ended, went to 9 different stores and put my name down, and also checked the Monday after 5pm / Tuesday Morning inventory in stores for around 2 months, which can sometimes luck out.

There’s also the PS5Stock discord and twitter bot, but extra store inventory is your best bet before Christmas. I never had luck with BigW or Amazon, or Sony. Etc. All of the Online stores are a lost cause due to scalper bots and I mostly gave up through April to July.

Sony was planning to start a queue and ticket waiting list similar to Microsoft’s Series X & S back in 2020, but its not available, AFAIK for Australia.
