Looks like az-eshop may have just price beat it by a cent - $24.64

    • Thanks I didnt find that one. I'll post the link in the item above too

      • Actually your original link led me to that seller (which is I thought it might've been a price beat or something and Amazon moved it to the 'first option'

        • I checked the 2nd link I added and it comes back to the item I posted. As you mention it's also listed in Other sellers for $24.64

    • Delivery is a week later for me though

  • I've got enough memory cards but…

    • what about this one? https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07FKN4T4H

I think that's the cheapest I've seen a brand name card

      • That’s more comparable to the ultra class from Sandisk, rather than the extreme. This card is rated at 100mbs for read. The extreme linked in the deal is rated at 160mbs

      • The Sandisk 128gb was about $14+ $1 last week

  • Deems like a good price. Write speed is 90mb. Too bad I bought this alr for $25

  • are sunwood reputable? don't want to get a fake card

Mines due for delivery today. I'll provide some thoughts on the packaging and whether it looks authentic. I dont have a high speed card reader so wont be able to do any speed tests unfortunately. That's something else I need. Any thoughts on a budget card reader that's reasonable quality?

      • thanks.
i've bought a few card readers off ebay and from local computer shops but can't speak for their quality. i mainly use the card read that came with my blackvue dashcam or my laptop's built-in card reader. sorry i'm not of much help there.

The MicroSD arrived however I'm concerned it's a fake. I'll explore further but what makes me suspicious are,

          1. Packaging has the adaptor in a small platic enclosure which is attached to the packaging. This isn't as per the many images of the packinging where the MicroSD card and adaptor are protected via the sealed plastic. Images would explain this much better than my words sorry. The packaging in general looks of a high quality. Possibly its old stock?. There are stickers on the back covering some of the details. It does clearly indicate made in Malaysia

          2. Back of MicroSD card is lacking the chip. Labelling on the back is all black is 1364 YCDR63AK with Made In Malaysia below.

          I'll do more research

          • @AAA-A: that's worrying. i looked at the packaging on some old sandisk extreme cards from around 2018 and they all say made in China.

@tdw: I suspect it's real however still trying to verify as the Quality is on par with what would be expected of SANDISK. Packaging all sealed as expected. The adaptor supplied is labelled as MADE IN CHINA 2020-06-10. I'm trying to verify available space.

I'll run h2testw tomorrow to test it out.

              • @AAA-A: Will be surprised if Amazon sells fakes… Eventho it's 3rd party

                • @Bargain-er: I suspect it's genuine as the quality of the product packaging is what I would expect of Sandisk. It's just the packaging design differs from all others I've seen. The Made in Malaysia is a concern as everything I read is that the MicroSDs are made in CHINA. Hopefully others who receive one provide their thoughts too.

                  • @AAA-A: I ordered mine through AZ eShop via Amazon, looks the goods to me.

Packaging is good, serial number and 'Made in China' on the card itself.

                    Just did a short test.

                    Writing speed: 83.3 MByte/s
                    Reading speed: 87.9 MByte/s
                    H2testw v1.4

                    • @jwh: Mine was from Sunwood AU. I ran h2testw and verified the full size so it appears genuine. I wasnt able to confirm the speeds as I only have access to a USB 2.0 adaptor and port so read write was ~20MB/s. I believe mine is authentic.
