Are these becomming the new Ozito?

Was Ozito getting too good to price match with the Aldi stuff?

    • I guess so since Ozito has moved into the mid-range market

  • Before anyone asks.. pretty sure this isn't brushless at this price

Picked up for $29 for impact driver and drill kit plus 2 batteries and have been using them for over 3 years now. Works great for DIY casual projects.

cheap but you are better off with a brand that has a good choice of compatible devices. Look out for your future needs, Ozito has a great range but Ryobi has lots more.
If using for work then the pro gear is also offering huge choices.

    • +1

There is a good choice of compatibility given the battery is compatible with Rockwell, ToolPro, and Worx. Having said that this deal would be more suited to those already in this ecosystem or really wanting something budget!

got a feeling it comes out of the Einhell factory and lately their gear is good value for money.

  • compatible with Rockwell/ToolPro/Worx

    Triton as well?

    • Visually it does not look the same. I don't think Triton shared batteries with anyone.

  • Any idea how this compares with Ozito?

    • Comparing brush models. I would say not much difference. Both offer the same level of warranty, and both available at Bunnings for easy returns. Price wise this is cheaper, especially 4ah batteries for $39. Really good to use these batteries in other more expensive compatible systems like Worx.

      • Thanks - looks like torque is a fair bit lower at 110 Nm compared with 150Nm for the Ozito, assuming an honest torque measure.

        • Imo it’s not that much of a difference. Might be noticeable at 300Nm.

          • @MuddyClear: Ozito brushless is 180Nm. Does the pro gear tend to go up to 300Nm?

            • @Punkboy: Pro gear can be 200+ Nm. If you need higher Nm then you’re probably after an impact wrench. My point is 110 vs 150Nm isn’t that significant.

  • why are the batteries a special order item in Sydney?

    • I didn’t do a full check but it all seems to be special order only. My guess is this is a new product line not yet available in stores.

  • According to Price Hipster this is normal price:

    • Yeah at $39 I don’t see it getting any cheaper

    • In that case this isn't really a deal.

Not even available locally, and the Ozitos are a much better option overall

  • Can anyone confirm the battery will work on worx products?

    • I asked Bunnings and they said it works. Looking at the battery they look compatible. See for yourself
