50c for a bag of washed potatoes from Little Tractor Potatoes at Coles. There's limited stock and the best before date is 17 November but can't go wrong with 10c/KG.

You're thinking of pumpkins, these are taters.
Damn. Let's brew vodka.
Your neighbours will be green with envy.
If I take in my own potatoes, how much will they charge to wash them?
50 cents. But there’s a minimum of 5kg. Oh, and a maximum of 5kg.
Thanks will do, need to travel from Melbourne so will be an overnight trip
these are obv better than the unwashed
unwashed potatoes are better actually. Washed potatoes often lose some of their skin in the washing process, making them more susceptible to air and potential mould spores.
Lately the brushed potatoes in Coles have been really good in my area, it feels like the quality has gone up!
BB date for potatoes is rather conservative imo. edit: I guess it depends on the state and season. I've had potatoes sprouting out of eyes and still good to eat.
Haha I agree! Just as long as they aren't too soft and squishy! Sometimes I just cut off those green bits and sprouts when I've forgotten about those beautiful carbed up babies in the potato bin 😆
Whats more simple than a potato
a carrot? can eat a carrot raw.
Epic. Just paid $5 today for some, was happy enough with that.
Could slice up, chuck in a bag with some oil, freeze, and have frozen chippies ready to go.
Could also add some rice flour, spices and beer for beer battered ready to go.
Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew!
