Expiring deal to avoid votes being misallocated, CPU seems to have changed to 10400F

Deal with 3060 mini has expired but available at the moment with 3060Ti for a decent price (or 3070 further upgrade, but there it's less clear value against the techfast black Friday deal).

Select 3060Ti GPU upgrade in the drop-down.
Power supply upgrade may be worthwhile if you'd like to upgrade the GPU further to a 3080 or similar if prices ever fall.

  • 3060ti is going for how much these days?

    • around 12-1300

      • 3060ti non-LHR is about $1500-1600 if you can get them.

  • -1

Considering 3060ti upgrade was only $150 ($1650 total) extra on the previous deal, this one doesn't seem worth it for the extra $200 on top of that (unless someone can tell me otherwise)? Would seriously consider snapping up that previous deal again, not so much this one.

It was never 150 bonus. The original price was 1500 for a mini 3060. At that price an upgrade to a 3060ti was 350. Once they updated it to 1700, the upgrade only cost 150, meaning the price was 1850 the whole time.

    • +2

it was always $350. I don't think it was ever a $150 upgrade.

      • I see, thanks! Reckon the 3060ti is worth the $350 premium?

        • +1

Yes, 3060Ti is a much better card (particularly if you want to play at higher resolutions or refresh rates, not so much for 1920*1080 at 60fps)

        • Really depends what you're using the pc for. What games are you playing on what resolution, or what do you want to use the pc for. 3060 is probs overkill for most setups tbh.

edit. my bad, just realised the price of 3060 has gone up on their website that's why you thought that was the original price difference.

  • Inclusion of Windows is a big plus.

  • Anyone able to comment on there experiences buying from Titan Tech? Seems like a newer company on the block - how is the build quality and the quality of their parts (mainly on other builds that they have without exact parts listed)?

    • Had a friend who bought a 3080 pc from them last year. He doesn't know much about pcs so he didn't opt for any upgrades (not sure if they were available) his case and motherboard weren't the best. I'd say if you know the exact parts listed for their builds then they're fine, the cable management was not bad too

      • Mind if I ask what motherboard and case he received? It would be nice to know what not to use in future :)

  • Can you tell us what RAM you are using for the 3600 upgrade and current build/ship times to VIC?

    • You may want to pm them or contact them directly as I'm not associated with them/they may not monitor this post.

    • In their original post they said they were using Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB 3200mhz (2x8GB) RAM Kit

      • +1

We are using Corsair Vengeance RAM for these computers!

Is this card good for mining ETH? Thanks.

    • Almost certainly an LHR card, so not without a bit of work/mining another coin simultaneously

  • How good of a deal is this? I would like a RTX 3060 Ti pc this year. Should I go with this one or is it worth holding out for more Black Friday deals?

    • +1

Personally I would wait till black Friday, We won't be posting anything crazy. But you never know what kind techfast of deals will show up :)

      • Ah, so if TF gonna have super good value deals, you gonna have similar ones to beat them? That will be lovely, as I said I prefer to buy from someone located in Sydney, do you guys open on Saturday for order pickup?

        • +1

No, I am afraid we will not be offering any crazy deals, we will be posting a white-themed 3070 build but that is all until Xmas / new years

          • @Titan Tech: Are you still posting a 3070 build for black friday ? Any information would be appreciated.

    • Luke from Techfast was saying they are working on a 3060ti deal for black friday and thats what im hanging out for.Given that they had a 3060ti deal not that long ago for $1788 you would think that the BF deal for it would be around the $1600 to $1700 mark

      • +1

Yeah, I was holding out for that deal as well haha.

Hopefully Luke will come through for us

  • Just eyeballing the specs sheet, there's about $950 in current retail value including labour, win10 key and btwifi USB, which leaves the GPU valued at 900. Bonus points for free shipping.

Decent deal, just take into account that the setup is considered "lastgen" but still ought to perform nicely for 5 years. Weigh your requirements against the price and how long you expect to use it. You're mostly buying it for the GPU.

If you're savvy enough to take advantage of ozbargain deals, collect parts from sales and put it together yourself, the above list or similar would probably cost 700 sans shipping and GPU.

Anecdotally, I still have a bunch of 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen i5s and so on working as intended as office machines, media centres, and 1 mining rig and I feel no need to dispose of them despite my main desktop being a current-gen ryzen.

  • Hope next deal coming out from TT will be 3080 please.

    Oh if it’s 5600x , I buy :(

    • +1

But it is not, so guess not for you :)

  • +1

    Is it 10600k or 10400F?

    • good point, link has it listed as 10400f not 10600k as per title

    • +1

Thanks, it was 10600k but seems to have changed. I've expired the deal to avoid misleading anyone with the number of votes (although still available with 10400F it's a bit less attractive)

Leaving this here for future reference.
