Not that I disagree.. but if I think about how financial products used to be sold via financial advisers and often paying them 125% upfront commission… I'd say that PureVPN could be banking on customer retention following the first year.

Solution to that is simple JUST use a disposable Virtual card, from Revolut/Wise/ZiP/Up.
But I aint sure how refund works on those cards just in case one wants to get refunded or be forced to be refunded.
