"It's overpriced" - not when I paid $1500 for the same card. Couldn't HODL

I've got the same card - paid roughly similar. Don't really have anyhting to compare it to since it's my first dedicated GPU, but it puts out 165fps 1440p on most games I play without a fuss. Temps are nice too, averaging around 50C.

      test cyberpunk with it
my 3070 on RT med, i get 58-70 fps… during cutscenes it drops down to 45 fps lol
      altho it is badly optimised

    Crypto is skyrocketing

Ahhh yes. That completely arbitrary price floor on consumer goods. PoS can't come fast enough!

  • This or 6700XT?

    • +4

do u care about RT, if not then get a 6700 xt

      • Nah don't need the RT, too much FPS loss with RT on. Thanks.

  • Very tempted to buy this. Need a 2-slot, and wanted to get a 3070 Eagle but that one hasn't been in stock for ages…

If you need some input, I'd say just go with 3060ti. Not to compare models but first of all the Eagle lineup is the lowest, so expect non-overclock settings and because of Gigabyte, terrible thermal application.

Statistically speaking, 3060 ti is not far behind of the 3070, and can reach within its range if overclocked. Depends on your needs, if you are into solid 1440p with some 4K then 3070 gives you decent headroom, but if you only need 1440p, the 3060 ti can satisfy you.

Anyways, it's up to your situation and the availability of the card. Although, I'd not suggest you to go for the Eagle lineup, IIRC the Gaming OC 3070 is 2 slot as well. Or you can look at the XC3 or some of the Asus.

Sorry if you don't need any opinions

Unfortunately I already bought the card before reading this LOL. But reading this would have just convinced me even more so.

For context, I have a 5700XT Gigabyte OC (Exact same chassis as 3070 Gaming OC, 2.5 slot, just different pcb), which I use in my Velka 7 case, although the card is slightly too tall, so I have left the side panel off for now.

        Dual monitor 1440p w/ 180hz and 1080p w/ 240hz.

I passed up on the XC3 a few times from PLE. This is because of poor deshroud capability. I already have Noctua fans + cables waiting to use for the 3060ti deshroud.

In any case, cheers for the help!

I bought gigabyte 3060ti aorus elite in the peak of price gouging 3 months ago for the same price. I don’t see this as a bargain.

  • Gigabyte Eagle 3080Ti fro $2300 I believe

    • Please share link if you don't mind. Thanks

  • Looks like OOS, 3060ti Rev 3.0 is still there though, 1299 - 10% = ~$1169 + shipping
