And also, you've clearly not been to Melbourne, as it can take DAYS to get a test back.
How can you trust someone has correctly used the test though?
It's about trusting yourself to do so, not others.
If you're going to visit your child who's recieving chemo, giving yourself a quick test is just 1 less person she's at risk from.
You can't protect everyone from everyone, but you can do all in your power to be a good person.
I got a test a few weeks ago. Arrived first thing on a Monday morning, got my results on the Wednesday.
I would do the test the day before in that case, but that's just me .. 🙄🙄
The government should be supplying these to people.

Depends if your loved one has an immune system or not.
I'd prefer to know if I'm about to enter a paediatric cancer ward; the guilt of not knowing, and going in anyway would likely kill me.

No, they're not meant to be. The store hasn't made an error or such. The fines for that sort of thing are astronomical.
It would be nice! But there's no wrongdoing bt the poster.
The proper tests are free because they're much more accurate.
These have a (slightly) higher risk of a false positive (but very tiny chance of false negatives, so, fine by me).
So if you're about to go and see someone who has no real active immune system; it's a nice reassurance you're looking out for your friend or child.
The government provides the best tests for free, the less accurate but fast ones are for an individuals peace of mind.
If it comes back positive; then just go get the free accurate ones :)
