I recently discovered Iodd which you should buy instead of a thumbdrive.
The Iodd is a SATA enclosure which features a screen for choosing which ISO you want to boot from. You can also mount any virtual disk format. You put whatever size SSD you want although it's a SATA II interface speed.
The more expensive 2541 features encryption hence the keypad. The 2531 is probably enough for most users.
