Perhaps not 50%, but for the most part a lot of Lego gets cheaper as time goes on.
Lego store only (expensive) > product goes to retail/Amazon (cheaper) > you see product on OzB with a voucher code for 20%/30% off (cheapest).
A lot like video games in that you tend to pay a premium for day one purchases but if you're happy to wait then you'll grab them for significantly less.
You would have to be a big Adidas fan to justify this purchase.
