  • I got it on offers, but it doesn't open

    • Not even when you click "shop online"?

      • It works for me now, thanks.

Can you use JB Gift Card with this or have to pay with a Westpac card?

    • +3

JB Solution and TGG Commercial don't accept gift card payment

      • +3

        😢

    • +2

double dipping i can see what you doing

  • +5

Winner! Saves me all of $6 on the Eufy smart lock..

Good find none the less Op.

    • +5

youll geta bigger discount pricematching or asking for a discount instore. Also discounted gift cards if you can get one

      • Yep can confirm. Back in the day TGG commercial was the corporate office and the Good Guys stores were franchisees (mostly) now the stores have pretty well all been "bought back" by JB HI-FI and you well get pricing just as good at branch level. I spend 200k-300k a year with them and found our local store much better to deal with in regard to pricing and service.

  • +1

Just westpac, not st George or bank of Melbourne?

    • +8

St George has it but as I already had it and found it hopeless compared to GG commercial I just never access it

      • True that

      • How do you access it?

        • +2

Took a while but found it again

          https://myoffers.stgeorge.com.au/

          • @Kamppinator: Do you need a particular account, credit card? Just tells me to login at that page, even if I'm logged in already and can't see any way to access via internet banking or the app (My offers says nothing available)

Edit: OK found it.. "The My Offers Hub is a collection of offers and discounts available to eligible debit or credit cardholders to thank you for being a St.George customer." I have neither so that explains that.

            • +1

@bamzero: if you are St George Customer, Try the following. (source: https://www.stgeorge.com.au/online-services/my-offers-hub)

For Mobile Banking go to Services, scroll to ‘My Accounts’ and tap ‘My offers and benefits’.

For Internet Banking go to ‘Manage my accounts’, select ‘Card Services’ and click ‘My offers and benefits’.

              • @thsydney: Yeh I didn't see anything but I only have an old direct saver account from years ago that doesn't have any debit cards attached to it so I think that's why.

    • +2

      It’s on BOM.

Select your CC then ‘Services’ then ‘My Offers and Benefits’

  • +6

It's on westpac website as well, not only mobile app

  • +4

I have this for my work too, Can't use JB cards or vouchers. Credit card or debit card only.
The savings aren't flash, a few dollars here and there.

  • +2

It has link but when i go to it, it ask for login code? Which doesnt show anywhere on my westpac online

    • It should open up automatically. Probably quit and try again?

    • Same with me when I tried the other week, so had left it alone. Guess I’ll try again

  • -2

Can you pay for items at JB-Solutions using JB-Hifi Giftcards? I know that you can't with Good Guys Commercial and Good Guys Giftcards.

  • +10

There are better portals that give better discounts.

    • Care to share further info?

    • I would like know where?

  • Isn’t their delivery more expensive than the normal site?

  • +3

You can also get access with HBF health insurance

  • +7

So is there actually anything cheaper on the JB Hi-Fi Solutions website that you can't get from any other website?

    • +11

      Not usually.

    • -1

      Probably

    • Yes. Logitech MX Keys Mac and MX Master 3 Mac.

      That’s it.

    • I have this via work… it's always worth checking, there is the occasional good deal.

As a rule, if it's on sale via normal channels, you'll at-best find the same deal on the commercial site - often it won't.

They also seem to almost arbitrarily mark items as not available for in-store pickup, which often eliminates any savings.

    • Fitbit Charge 5

    • i got the logitech g pro X superlight for $200 when everywhere was selling for RRP

then amazon discounted it a week later, so i used price protection

  • +10

JB Hi-Fi solutions is similar to The Good Guys Commercial

    No it's not.

    • +3

I'd say it's similar in discounts to Harvey Norman business.

    • +3

Former JB Solutions team member here.
Yes, they are more or less the same thing.
The 2 businesses even occupy the same floor at head office.

  • The iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB is still costier at JB Solutions ($2639.99) than in Costco ($2,619.99)

    • And Costco is free to join?

      • -1

Membership is $60 per year, but I find it worth for the products and it’s quality they have to offer.

  • -6

Is it possible to pay for items at JB-Solutions using JB-Hifi Giftcards?

    • Mmm

    • +4

Is it possible to pay for regrets with gift cards?

  • +9

TBH not much value in JB hifi solutions. I had it for a while and enver ended up buying anything. No gift cards, after pay zip pay promotions etc. TGG commerical is far better.

    • And no returns.

  • +1

This wasn't working earlier this week and I ended up spending 45 mins on the phone to Westpac to see if they could fix it.

Glad to see it's working now!

  • +1

I just compared prices from westpac's jb vs two companies' jb
it appears that westpac customer has best price

  • Solutions? Was the problem "How to Aussies at inflated prices?"

  • +5

Prices don't look that great… you could get a better price by just bargaining

    • Noob q. How do you bargain at JB?

      • +66

        Change your username first

      • +6

Say ‘Hey, I’m in the market to buy this, and I’ll buy it today, but I heard I can get it cheaper online. Can you offer it for $xx?‘

        • +2

Ok thanks! Will see how this goes in my next JB purchase.

          • +7

@ilovefullprice: Will definitely work in store.
Also, don't offer absurdly low prices. About 10-15% should work. And, be prepared to walk away to another store.

            • +1

@karseeeejaaaa: Ok thanks for the tips!

            • +1

@karseeeejaaaa: I don’t like haggling, though it was fun on my first trip to Asia years ago.
But I will always have a go for white goods or a laptop or something.

My other suggestion, which I use almost every time there is a sales person on the shop floor is just to say ‘Is that your best price?’. It is rare it doesn’t get you something, even if it is just 5% or a laptop bag, or similar. But if I was prepared to pay full price, there is no harm asking.

And sometimes it reveals you were going to pay way too much!

            • @karseeeejaaaa:

Also, don't offer absurdly low prices

Rule#1 there's no such thing as "absurdly low price" when you are giving it a go at a store as long as you have a smartphone with an old screenshot or a offline webpage that shows that someone or somewhere did sell it at a lower price.

So, I am NOT talking about price-matching here, there are portals with out of stock items, old price details mentioned, price at overseas market etc. etc. You can always ask politely if you have to wait until the price comes down to your asking price or can the store do something about it. Even if you don't get that price, normally, store managers will apply the maximum discount possible and try to retain you as a customer. It definitely worked for me for buying slow moving items like some accessories n stuff at very low prices Btw, I would not try it on iPhones ;)
              Good luck!

      • +2

Just tell them… it's been cheaper before… I want it for this price… they can say yes or no… if they say no … tell them too bad you'll go elsewhere and walk away

      • +1

Show them an online company selling the same product/same specs at a lower price. Got a huge discount on buying a Samsung Soundbar recently.

        • Did you get to price beat or price match? If price beat, was it 10-15% cheaper?

          • +1

@ilovefullprice: more of a price match.. wasn't expecting JB to drop it compared to online portal but they matched it. Just gives extra peace of mind for returns if something goes wrong. Never heard of price beat.. why would they go lower?

            • @merv198: To get the sale? Depends on what the item is perhaps.

Thanks heaps for your tips here!

  • Thinking of buying an iphone 13 and it does indicate a store pickup, is there a delay in picking this up as compared to just buying it outright? Not sure if its worth the $40 savings

    • Pickup for my local store was ready in half an hour. YMMV

  • Works for me though App on PC… Samsung Q60A 85" is about $500 cheaper than prices at the moment but was a bit cheaper at EOFY sales

  • This would be good if I could pay with discounted JB Hi-Fi gift cards - does that work?

    • According to previous comments…NO

  • +1

    Pixel 6 cases $49 -> $33, not too bad.

  • -2

    • Me too - I've got it though.

  • +3

  • Doesn't work. The offer is not there in my Westpac App.

  • This is targeted. Please add targeted to the post.
I don't have it as an offer despite having many different products with WBC and being a premium client.

    • +1

it's under the rewards tab, not the offers tab

      • +1

        for you….perhaps. Not me.

  • just checked it out…..meh. Don't want an apple phone and they don't carry any other brand.

  • No bargain listed

  • No bargain here, just a waste of time

  • +1

Did anyone have the offer on their app and now its gone? I did have it as well as other offers, but now they're all gone.

  • Meh. So Iphone 13 is discounted by 2%. I get better value from discounted gift cards at 5%

  • Jbhifi solution is crap….good guy commercial is little better at finding better price
