      Overcooked is great!

      • If you like Moving Out you'll like Overcooked and vice-versa.
Both great games. Similar gameplay but by no means the same so you wanna play both!

        • Yep I got the overcooked all you can eat bundle in the last sale which has been excellent. Also recently bought streets of rage 4. Any others you can recommend?

@dajackal: You might enjoy Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime

          • +6

@dajackal: Just scanned through my Switch catalogue to find some of my favourites. Apologies for the wall of text:

Astro Bears is often on sale. It’s like the light cycles from Tron on a spherical map. Not co-op, but an enjoyable 4-player competitive game.

Catastronauts is effectively Overcooked meets Star Trek.

Crawl is 3 vs 1 co-op which is a bit different and incredible fun.

Full Metal Furies is a twin-stick shooter action RPG that allows for some character upgrades and customisation for up to four players.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a simple yet thoroughly enjoyable co-op game for up to 4 players.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 has a multiplayer mode that is suitable for up to 8 players, I believe.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3 is great fun and features local 4-player co-op.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is a fantastic 2D Mario game with 4-player co-op.

Octodad is a ridiculous physics-based game that allows each of the four players to control a quarter of the same character’s body.

Super One More Jump is from the makers of Death Squared, and is one of the simplest yet most addictive co-op games I’ve ever played.

@grayadamson: thanks! just added a bunch of these to my dekudeals wishlist

              • +1

@dajackal: Deku Deals is the best.

Just checked and it seems Super One More Jump is only $1.43.

Death Squared, 4 player couch co-op with the joystick being the only controls (outside of the menus).

Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The only game that pits Mario, Sonic, Minecraft Steve, Pac-man (and more) on the same stage. Even supports 8 players.

Mario Kart 8 is an easy favourite. Easy to control, looks gorgeous too.

Screencheat. Split screen 4-player FPS, but everyone is invisible. Good fun especially for those nostalgic for Goldeneye on the N64.

Death Squared is great! And its by the same Aussie-based developer as Moving Out.

        • And Super One More Jump, which is currently only $1.43.

This game is criminally overlooked. It's incredibly simple, but also very difficult in later stages. Good game for those friends or family who aren't avid gamers.

    • It Takes Two is great, but it isn't available on Switch I think

    • +3

Unravel 2 is a fantastic 2 player puzzle game.

    • +1

Super Mario 3D World (Switch and Wii U but also on PC via emulators)
      All the Lego games
      Rayman Legends/Origins
      Death Squared (same Aussie devs)
      It Takes Two

      I've really been enjoying ibb&obb.

    • +4

      Super Mario 3D World
      Heave Ho

Not co-op but great fun couch multiplayer is Boomerang Fu

      • Boomerang Doo can be coop- set up a team vs the bots.

    • +1

Highly recommend BlaseRush, also on Steam.
It's basically a newer version of Mashed if you've played that and always a hoot.

    • I really like "Good Job"

    • Tools up is lots of fun - definitely not as slick as Overcooked etc. but spent plenty of time playing it which is always the best measure!

Worth it at this price but I didnt enjoy this as much as the Overcooked games. The game mechanics are quite fiddly, you have to pile all the crap in the moving van, sometimes you throw the fridge on top of the couch and it slides off, sometimes it doesnt, youre at the mercy of the physics engine. It can feel a bit cheap in that regard.

    • We liked the demo but not enough to buy the full game. Wish it was $9.99 and on the PS4 (PS5)

  • Great price. I played on Xbox One via Xbox Game Pass long time ago. Much better solo experience accessible than Overcooked games.
