Contact details - If you can't find the business address or contact number of the business you have purchased boots from, who will help you with customer issues.
There are so many sheepskin boots out there claiming to be 100% Australian Made. How can you tell one authentic boot from the rest?
What to ask your retailer when buying your sheepskin products.
Where are your skins from?
Where are they processed?
Are the boots hand cut, hand stitched, hand glued in Australia?
Ask for the address of manufacturer and tannery. There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.
All Ugg Australia® products are 100% Australian made at our factory and ecologically processed at our Roman Tannery in Laverton North, Melbourne.

    Here we go again

Was just wondering if we could get some closure on what happened in this last thread https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/659128 with docians allegedly receiving a surly call from a store rep?

      • +2

You wont get any clarity. They just keep spamming their products and doing the same thing. Then they shame the next person that has an issue and randoms will jump in and show their support. Rinse and repeat.

We have no email correspondence from this customer or Private messages until after any problems occurred.

We have no email correspondence from this customer or Private messages until after any problems occurred.

the expectation being that customers correspond with the company before they notice any problems with the boots?

feedback from OPs previous posts, those who had problems with their boots and bothered writing to OP (these are only three examples)

Would you like to tell the whole story? Like how you ignored emails until I posted publicly here?

I was one of the people sitting on the fence on previous deals and gave these guys a chance. BIG MISTAKE
Terrible quality and zero communication once I had an issue with the product.

This is a company I would avoid at all costs. Customer service is non-existent unless you make it public.

for the record none of these were this customer

@docians: Nice to see you again, I was just doing a write-up for you about what happened.

Gotta agree it seems strange that they'd want you to tell them about problems with the boots before they arise. Seems like it could strain their customer service team which already has trouble responding within 24 hours as they claim they will.

In contrast, they're quite quick to respond to publicly aired grievances, making sure to put themselves in the best light. If they feel like going the extra mile they even blame the customer sometimes

              or the customers pets
or the sheep which gave the wool :)
              or covid

Yes I know, the allegation was that your National Sales Manager who I believe has a name starting with A called this OzBargain member (docians) after they provided their order number as you asked. Whilst receiving this call your manager was supposedly immediately hostile and aggressive and docians was left without resolution.

So you have had private correspondence with this customer and they were left extremely dissatisfied, implying they could have cried if not for their emotional fortitude.

In response you said "You have not tried to contact us once throughout the Whole year.. you admitted this..
We have just called to try solve the issue, instead you would rather personally attack our faults and our team and even publicly shame one of our team members, without any prior contact at all,
we will not do that to you…
You were aggressive with our team, as above prior comments can see and we will not respond in that behaviour.
          All the Best. 🙌"

So it seems like you'd rather just put up a smokescreen to try and paint a paying customer as the one that was unreasonable rather than taking responsibility for someone at one of the highest levels of your company. Then when questioning gets too hard you run away with your tail and piss poor answers tucked between your legs

        thank you for your concern

Just to add, I contacted Ugg Australia via email the day I received a poor quality product.

They set unrealistic conditions on the return and put in so many road blocks it took 3 months to get a relacement.

Their claim that they will deal with everything privately and appropriately is total bs and they are just trying to keep their online reputation high.

  • I bought these last time. Normally a size 7, and went for size 9. Still too tight for some reason but I'll stick with it and hope it expands as can't be stuffed returning it.
I'm just wearing these at home.

Not a deal. It is this price every month

I'm no expert but is that a breach of ACC guidelines?

      ONLY 100 PAIRS AVAILABLE

Businesses may also mislead consumers about prices if they: promote a ‘sale’ or ‘special’ price which is not in fact a temporary sale price, thus **creating an unwarranted sense of urgency to make an immediate purchase++

There might be some circumstances where you can show that the product would have sold at the ‘was’ price despite there being no sales, but this can be hard to prove if you regularly discount.

    Toxic company

we are the only one in the world who has 100% Australian Made Ugg boots.

    a quick google search

https://www.australianuggboots.com.au/en-au - I am in no way affiliated with this company, not do I know if it is the same company as https://uggaustralia.com.au/pages/about-us

from the description they appear to be a different company and they say

Australian Ugg Boots Pty Ltd is a registered company in Australia specialising in genuine Australian made sheepskin boots.

Established almost two decades ago, we are located in Braeside in the South East Suburbs of Melbourne. Here we have our manufacturing, administration, distribution and factory outlet all under one roof.

    we are passionately committed to:

Keeping the great Aussie icon 100% Australian Made.
Quality before quantity in our materials and products we sell.

(they tend not to have sales every week on ozbargain)

    • Uggaustralias big thing is that they're the only tannery in Aus hence the big claim. Everyone else will get the skins tanned OS

  • Same old same old.

  • I own some of these companies boots. They are ok, the quality of these boots are not worth the RRP.

It is always this price so it isn't a bargain. I missed out on a sale and a week later they had the exact same sale.
