Hi all, a good discount for the Hoka Cielo X1. They were designed to be a race day shoe but are a much better daily trainer. These shoes are highly rockered so they're not ideal for heavy heel strikers and you must be willing to roll with the rocker in your stride. There's nothing like them on the market, the best analogy is the Ferrari of daily trainers.

It's what happens when shoe makers try to understand the human anatomy more and more. You get specialised shoes fit for specific purposes. That's like saying all spices are the same for adding flavour to food.
Using a carbon fibre plated shoe as a daily trainer is a recipe for disaster.
These are winged so much more for stability than an aggressive race plate.
I've got a few pairs of Carbon X2 in my rotation and often use them for long runs. I wouldn't wear them everyday though.
so we need a uni degree to understand runners now?
