If only a PC didn’t cost the price of 3-4 PlayStations

      • Or 1.5x series X xboxes

      • PCs can cost as much as you want them to. There’s no fixed price.

I can get a whole pc for less than $750 that can play deathloop on similar to ps5 graphics? Can you please point me on that direction as I need a pc.

            @onlinepred: Okay go into a store and buy a PS5 for $750. I’ll wait.

In all seriousness you can buy a decent PC if you’re willing to shop around for 2nd hand parts. Probably for around $750 or less if your lucky. Some people throw out perfectly fine PCs just because he hard drive stopped working.

The subsidised cost of hardware hasn’t been a good argument against PC. You don’t NEED PS5 level graphics cards and CPUs to run nearly all games on PC. Very rarely you cannot just drop quality settings and not be able to play a game.

Besides you could make the exact same argument against the PS5 with the high priced software. When you can always get better prices on PC which in turn drops the overall cost of PC to less than consoles. I’m not gonna argue PC is superior to consoles or something. I don’t believe that. I prefer to play on consoles.

I’m only saying that you don’t need the bleeding edge hardware. In fact I’d say don’t aim for that stuff as it’s an insane waste of money. But there are options to get into PC gaming and it’s easier if you just drop your standards a little. Lastly I wouldn’t blame anyone for throwing up their hands and saying “this shit is too confusing and hard” to make it yourself or finding compatible parts. Since that’s my main reason for liking consoles is the lower complexity. Also when wireless controllers just freaking work…

@Valowick: Well I got my ps5 on release, and bought another 3 for family and friends within the first 3 months of release. I just rang every store that sells consoles until one let me put my name down on a list. Was very easy. I have 2 pcs. One a i7 2600k with a graphics card that’s barely hanging on and an 128gb ssd. I would love a new pc. I wouldn’t get one now if I could only set graphics to half of decent modern games today as in a few years it will mean I can’t even run certain games.

I’m currently streaming games now so don’t even need a pc with a gpu haha.

You're the exception. Most people cannot simply just get a PS5 even if they wanted to. My point still stands. May as well not bother worrying about buying new graphics cards or CPUs for the next 3-4 years. RRP is borked and will remain that way until the economy stops imploding. Or maybe a war could happen. Then prices won't be $3,999 for what should be a $600-800 card. They'll be like $29,999 if we're lucky.

I still think buying 2nd hand and scrounging up peoples leftover PC parts is the best you'll get at the moment.

                • @Valowick: To be fair, those that haven’t been able to buy a ps5 haven’t really tried hey.

                  • @onlinepred: Kinda forgetting the reality of scalpers, lockdowns, global silicon shortages and legendary demand. Saying they didn’t really try isn’t accurate, frankly.

                    • @Valowick: I barely tried and got 4 easily.

                      • @onlinepred: So why are people having trouble getting them? Could everyone that wanted to get 4 or are you just being dim?

                        • @Valowick: Many were just reacting to posts here, rather than being pro active.

Also $54 at Harvey Norman. Amazon may end up going lower to match.

In typical Bethesda fashion, $40 by Xmas?

Order from Kogan today and you may be lucky enough to have it delivered by Christmas

In the past I'd 100% agree with you but recently I've ordered a few things from Kogan which have turned up pretty quckly. A few days after ordering (I'm in Newcastle) so not really any better or worse than any other retailer.

Wasn’t this a game you play with LG phones…..

  • I'll wait for it to hit PS+ I don't think sales for this were as positive as Kena: Bridge Of Spirits got.

  • Oh no, I just bought it two days ago and still waiting for the shipping from Amazon.

  • Now $79, deal over.
