      I'll be buying top tier OLED next year and my car is worth 4k max

      Some peoples priorities are different haha

      Edit - my reason for waiting is hoping the panel prices come down next year

        For me Ozbargain isn't necessarily about living frugally. But rather if there's a big discount on something that you really want, then I would consider that a bargain—a $9000 TV in this case.

        With that said $1000 off from the JB 'listed' price doesn't scream shut up and take my money.

        Looks like most retailers have matched it to $8995 too?

      You would be mad to buy that over the far superior 77" A80J which can be had for the same price or less.

      A80j has XR processor, the new 2021 "EVO" Panel, much brighter, higher colour volume… and the list goes on and on.

    Not a deal - same price at Bing Lee, Joyce Mayne, Sony… in fact can't find anyone selling above this price.
    I'm sure you could haggle lower.
