The New iPad 32G Wi-Fi $599 from The Good Guys. Auburn Store NSW. Not in Stock till April

First post in Ozbargain.

First of all, I am buying 3 of them so that can be a reason I am getting that price.

The Good Guys in Auburn NSW does not have the stock for the 32G wifi now and they wont price match the 16G one…

I told the sales person that I am getting 3 THE NEW IPAD, but he checked with the manager and told me they still can NOT sell the 16G for $498.

Then I ask if the sales person can sell the 32G wifi one for $599. He checked with his manager again and told me YES. But I have to wait for 3 more weeks till they r back to stock.

And he agreed I can get the full deposit back If the ipad is not in stock after April 6 2012.

So I think $599 for the 32G wifi is a good price, and plus I am going overseas next month and get the 9.x% tax back.

But I am not sure if everyone can get that price from any store, any sales person or just buying one…

The price is really depends on the sales person or the manager, since they are getting pay from commissions.

I am thinking Oz-bargainers can group buy things from retail and get a real bargain later…

      Coz I am telling the truth. ;) Stores like The Good Guys or Bing Lee pay sales person commissions, that's why prices can be different, its all about if u r lucky enough to meet a nice sales person.

      yes, but the receipt is for the security deposit, no goods have changed hands yet, probably best for the forums, when delivery is confirmed it can be re listed here i suppose

      That's what I am trying to say at the end of post. Now u have PLA74 with u , so just find one more person then u can ask for the same price. If u can get more ppl, u probably can get a better price i guess.

      yeah…$598 with delivery… coz I am going to get tex return from the airport so I have to get it from a retail store. But you r right… This is just a normal price…damn…>.<

    There is no certainty with this post since

    (1) OP got 3 iPads for the price
    (2) iPads have not been received, and there's a likelihood that OP may get a refund back
    (3) receipt posted is only for security deposit.

    Kogan have the 32gb wifi for $569 + $29 shipping = $598 (http://www.kogan.com.au/shop/new-ipad-32gb-wifi-black/)

    Note that Kogan say that they will dispatch 2nd of April , expect to receive it a week later (April 9).

    Maybe there is some discounted price around then…

      hmm, i wonder why Kogan doesn't have that liveprice pricing for ipads? liveprice=baloney, should be outlawed! when will Ruslan & Co understand liveprice may work with fridges/washing machines/ovens/vacuum cleaners etc, but mobile phones/computers/tablets etc + pricematching are constantly changing in terms of pricing and models/specifications/stock levels-in effect liveprice has all the advantages for Kogan and little to none for the consumer who shops around!

    If you know a woolworths employee they get 5% off, this takes the 32 gb iPad 3 (new) down to $597. Only need to buy one.

      i love my (girlfriends) woolies staff card. 5% does not sound like much, but it adds up!
