As much as I'd like to support Banana Boat since they are one of the few who claim they're not animal tested and vegan, I cannot. Multiple tests show it works sub-par, and my own youngest kid who has pretty pale skin burns easily with this stuff slapped all over - not this specific kids variant, just the general one. The first time we put it down to user error (bad coating, kid playing in water, whatever), the next was enough to stop using it permanently. My opinion is there are much better options; if I were you I wouldn't use this on your bub.

    • Can you recommend a good baby sunscreen?

not going to call out any specific brand, but my understanding is barrier sunscreens (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide active ingredient) are better for young ones (esp if sensitive skin) than chemical/absorption sunscreens. Also Australian regulations don't require listing all ingredients on sunscreen, only active + preservatives, so it's hard to research properly

We generally use Invisible Zinc for the little one (not a baby though) and Sun Sense for the rest of us.

        Cancer council products are great

We use Zinc based sunscreens as well:

        • Invisible Zinc when on special
        • Bushman Zinc
        • Wotnot (I think)

All worked great. But best is to dress them in long clothes / rashy shirt and hat.

        • Yeah we bought stinger suits for the kids when we went to the tropics but they ended up being the best sunscreen ever.

    • Advice taken. Cancelled my order. Thanks for the feed back.

Babies aren't supposed to be put in the sun directly from what I understand, it should be avoided as much as possible.

After 6 months, they can use the regular/kids stuff.
