I am looking for a label printer so that I can label all electronic devices (router, switches, computers, etc.) around the office.
Any advice on what to look for? Thanks.

Label printers, like most printers, suffer from the "cheap hardware expensive consumables" problem. I have a Brother labeller, and have purchased lower cost label cartridges from eBay sellers without any issues.
Brother QL 700
You might be interested in the Brother PT-E300VP. Not one of the cheaper options but it has built in functions for doing patch panels, face plates, cables etc as well as just simple labels.
Thanks to everyone who replied. I think I will just go for a cheap handheld label printer.
How about the labels? What to look for in a label that will last for at least a few years?
I've used the Brother TZe tapes for decades. They'll last forever on wall plates, patch panels and devices that aren't handled much. For things that are handled a lot it really comes down to the individual but for most will still last years. Of course they only work with the Brother printers.
