Microsoft Surface Duo 2 - How to Buy in Australia?

Hey OzBargainers,

Does anyone know how to go about buying one of these?

I've done the following:
- https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/surface —> This simply says "Coming soon", despite that people in the US can already pre-order.
- Tried Googling, no meaningful results besides speculations and clickbaits.
- Reddit doesn't seem to have anything for Australians.
- BigAppleBuddy seems to be too big a risk for obvious reasons.
- Obviously I've searched the forums here, no results, which I'm rather stumped.

Has anyone got any suggestions? Heard anything?

  It's "coming soon"… Exactly what it says on the tin.

  21st October for about $2,300+.

  Last I checked I believe they are only for business customers to purchase on the Microsoft AU site (hope I'm wrong). You'll need to get an import model after release from a site that ships to Australia.

  As much as I'm interested in it, it costs a bit too much to purchase from overseas with limited support here, particularly if you need to repair it.

  The Surface Duo 2 pen cover is not yet available, apparently slated for 15/11/2021.

  I've decided not to order the Slim Pen 2 for now.

  Very excited to see how the two independent screens work in practice.
