Historical low for this game. Use coupon for price in title. Regular version is $6.90 from the same merchant however judging by the reviews it seems to be worth spending the additional money for the deluxe edition which comes with all the DLC.

Pretty fun and interesting game series, can feel repetitive at times though for me.

    • They feel a lot like Metal Gear Solid to me (in a great way)

Not sure what games you played as they are absolutely nothing like MGS.

SE4 is some dumb fun though if you can ignore the cheesy plot, repetitive gameplay and over the top American hero nonsense that despite seeming dated and satirical, actually takes itself seriously. I ended up skipping anything story/cutscene related because of it as it seems like it was made by 14 year olds.

If you like pink mist it can be okay but if you like shooting dicks, it's even better.

        • Did you try the gameplay. Sneaking around any?

          • @[Deactivated]: I finished the game, so yes. I'm into stealth games.

I've played all the sniper elites and obviously all the MG games. SE4 is probably the weakest SE game and although I can understand a vague similarity for those that have probably only played The Phantom pain because of the open world and some sneaking and stalking, they really is no comparison between the franchises and gameplay.

Glad you enjoyed it though. You'll probably enjoy the Ghost Warriors Contracts games even more if you haven't played them.

            • @Freezies: Yeah I've played all of the MGS games like half of the gamers out there I presume. Only played SE3 and 4 but third person view stealthing around and taking enemies out in a multitude of ways just makes me think of MGS every time. I don't see how there can't be a comparison, I'm sure I wouldn't be the first to draw them.

Edit/ a quick Google might show you that I'm not alone here.

@[Deactivated]: TPP is the only MG game that people generally make comparisons with to non MG games. Mostly because it's the only MG game most non playstation gamers have even played despite there being around a dozen main games and that again in spins offs.

It's not indicative of the series as It also happens to be the most dumbed down and shallow of all the Solid series. Due to Konamis interference, it's unfinished and a lot is repetitive filler which is also why it gets compared to games like SE4, that said, it still generally wins out every time.

There are some similar gameplay aspects which are found in many games, but the feeling when playing is completely different. SE4 requires no strategy or planning, the AI is inferior to the previous games and the game is just way too repetitve and easy. You can literally do the same simple thing over and over to finish the game. Some of the level designs are okay but no real thought was put into anything. It's barebones stealth.

                Agree to disagree.
