  • Very nice.

  • Any tricks to getting a free .edu email these days ? Or it this Student ID based only ?

    • If it is just for obtaining access to the Lenovo education site, check out the previous threads. You can PM doweyy to get access.

      • I tried doweyy way and it gets me in. But then I find that laptop and it’s showing roughly $1250. Any suggestions please

        • Are you sure it's the right one? Showing $1019 for me (although I don't have access through the Doweyy method).

If you are logged in on a separate tab, and then click the link above, does it still show $1250 or whatever?

          • @djkelly69: Just tried again. Logged in using doweyy. Then clicked on link. And it asks me for the Lenovo ID and password again :(
Is there another way to find it once I'm logged in sorry?

            • @Kronky: Hmm strange, sounds like maybe it is not logging in properly?

Once logged in, if you go to Laptops, Ideapad, Series 3, then go to the IdeaPad 3 14" AMD page, there should only be two options. One is $789, the other is $1019.

              • @djkelly69: Thanks mate. I get $799 and $1214. The $1214 model looks like its it (82KT00MUAU), just wrong price. Thanks anyway. Guess I'll wait for Black Friday sales!

                • @Kronky: Yeah that is just the normal Lenovo website.

Not sure what is wrong but your education login doesn't seem to be working.

                  • @djkelly69: Damn. Says education up top. And I click through the links from doweyy. Ah well. Thanks anyway mate

        • if you're not a student just pay up lol

thank you op, got one for my friend's kid

also dicounted price to upgrade to 3 years warranty, very nice.

    FHD (1920x1080) IPS 300nits Anti-glare, 45% NTSC

don't buy cheap dell inspiron TN screen laptops

  • This'd work great for me if it had two SODIMM slots. Anyone got any recommendations?

Good luck if you ever need any service, the Lenovo customer service team are the worse to deal with. Absolutely painful and moronic experience everytime. Zero care factor

    • I have to disagree. I have dealt with them through the organization I work with quite a bit and they are extremely helpful.

I think he might be talking about the overseas call centre

  • Was keen but don’t have an edu account. Any suggestions? :)

  • How the heck 12G ram for a laptop? Why not 16?

    • +1

      4GB soldered, 8GB upgradeable.
If it was 8/8 would be steal, still is pretty good

  • Approx. $130 for a 16GB SO-DIMM Single Rank chip to upgrade to total of 20GB RAM.

  • Ugh why does the 4GB have to be the soldered stick.

    • i got the 15" 16GB Ram model, still cheap, just above $1000
i am not sure it's single ram or 2x8g

      • May I ask what the spec look like for the 15" one"?

  • I won't get anything that doesn't charge via USB C these days… Too many cords to worry about. Especially when travelling.

    • came here to ask if this one was chargeable by usb c.
sometimes stuff has a barrel jack but is also optionally chargeable by type c, but i guess with something this powerful it wouldn't be?

  • What's the delivery time. Still waiting on a progress update from the last EDUCOM deal from early September that was due to be delivered by now for a similar spec.
Have called and got an unsatisfactory answer which for a sales process doesn't give me much confidence in the servicing side.

  • Please suggest how i can get a free edu account, i badly need a laptop for work. Thanks

  • Can this be good for playing games considering it has integrated graphic card?
