As much as I love Macadamias, OP, plus delivery, they are way too expensive for 500g

Genuine question - where can I buy Australian-grown smoked macadamias for under $45/kg ($55/kg delivered)?

      • For me personally its more so the issue that if I just want 500g its $35, which is above the curve for what some people would be willing to pay. Buying over $100 worth makes it far more appealing, but out of my impulse buy range. Leading me to either have to consider if I want to buy $100 worth of macadamia's to get the best bargain, as opposed to spending $35 for a 500g bag which goes against the bargain hunter in me.

      • Just buy regular nuts and add smoked Hickory flavour like they do

      • Even at $55/kg we are actually one of the most competitively priced online Macadamia nut retailers. We also believe that we sell a superior tasting product!

Hopefully by giving our nuts a try you'll look past basing your decision solely on price in the future.

Am I correct in reading that these are very salty?

    • Although the sodium content is on the higher side they don't actually taste overly salty.

They have been described as tasting similar to the flavour of cheese and bacon balls, but crunchy.

  • Just ordered.
Really looking forward to tasting these!
    Thanks very much

    • Thank you very much for your order! :) We are confident you will love them.

  • Looking forward to getting my order from the last offer… was shipped quickly but is currently stuck somewhere in Australia Post limbo even though it was only coming down the coast to Newcastle.

That's annoying! :( Australia Post are struggling in places at the moment, which is why we are posting out any orders that contain chocolate coated nuts express post at our cost.

      • Yeah, have had experience with lots of things delayed.
You guys posted express Monday and the tracking updated today to say waiting to be processed for delivery. So just in purgatory somewhere between Lismore and Newcastle lol.

  • Well that's me sucked in to buying 2kg of macadamias.

Except it was cheaper to not use the coupon because that made the order under $100 which meant shipping would have been $15.

    • Thank you for your order, we will have those out to you shortly.

    • Mine drops from $107 to $102. Not a huge saving…

  • Contains at least: 98% Australian ingredients

Unlike the macadamia nuts at Aldi which have 100% Australian ingredients?

    • +2

Both our raw Macadamias and dry roasted Macadamias contain 100% Australian ingredients. Which are the same style of products you would be comparing ours to when looking at ALDI. Our hickory smoked flavoured Macadamias however contain a small percentage of ingredients which aren't Australian.

A lot better than the 92% of your Honey Roasted Macadamias.

Would be interested in knowing why you decided not to support Australian farmers in sourcing your rice flour

  • Cheers op 5 bags, looking forward to trying the different flavours. :)

    • Thanks mate, we will have those out to you shortly. Let us know which one you like the best!

  • Haven't tried these yet as I get my maccas from the Alphadale factory at a discount. Do you have a farmgate shop(as I'm local)?

    • We don't have a shop that's open to the public I'm afraid but if you contact us I'd be happy to provide local pickup.

  • This thing is extremely salty unfortunately… :(

    • So not a good buy then?

      • Yes, In short, I regretted buying these
Maybe if they can cut the saltiness by 40-50% they'll be good

I can vouch for the honey coated ones though, they're nice

    • Didn't you read my comment or the product ingredient's?

It was obvious these were very salty and that was the reason I didn't order.

      • i did, but i took my chance, and regretted it

    • +1

We have taken on board your feedback and we will look at reducing the salt content used during the processing.
