I find Philips' "Cool Day" too cold @ 6500K, almost blue looking, very harsh and un-calming. It is suitable for perhaps laundry or garage lighting though, but personally I wouldn't use them anywhere else. Their "Warm White" is 2700K, which is a bit too warm for general lighting. Its a shame they don't make something in between around 4000-5000K.
I think I bought the Olsent cool white - was not so 'cool' so quite nice. Was expecting it to be harsh but thankfully wasnt.
I do need some more bulbs and $6.50 for two bulbs is hard to beat. Will probably just go for warm whiteOlsent cool white 4000K bulbs are currently my favourite :D they seem to be quite good overall. But yes this is a pretty good deal for a 2 pack!
Oh wow 4000k sounds good - would you say it's close to a kind of morning daylight? The Philips cool daylight is 6500k which is way too cool
@frogduck: Yeah something like that - overall a very natural "white" light that doesnt seem to cool or warm
