    Pub Crawl

  • The bigger question - should I drink inside and be forced to sit and have 1 per 4sqm OR go outside to the beer garden, where I am allowed to stand and mingle, with more people in the 1 per 2sqm rule.

  • Why are you out the otherside? Not trying to be smart, but the 7 day average death rate for NSW seems the highest it's ever been?

    https://www.google.com/search?q=Sydney+covid+deaths&oq=Sydne…

Not being in NSW it seems a very odd thing to do (especially comparing with WA, SA etc in the graph above). Or does it mean certain parts of Sydney without cases for X number of days are opening up ?

    • All of NSW is opening for fully vaccinated people.

https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/easing-covid-19-restrictions… Is what is permitted now NSW has reached 70% fully vaccinated.

      • +1

The whole of NSW. ..wow .the graph is still a representation of 70% vaccinated and still on the up.

They are often clever with these numbers. I bet the 70% probably excludes a fair whack of the population. They should just be honest and show vaccinations against total population. Hope it works out. But numbers don't normally lie. Geez I'd be nervous if elderly, young, unwell or a health care worker in NSW.

I mean it sucks for everyone, and I feel for all you people in these industries that are being crippled. It's just brutal. Hope everyone at least tries to do the right thing and keeps up all the disease control protocols as their are a lot of kids, elderly with blood / heart conditions etc still out there that can't get vaccinated.
Also hopefully we all know you can still be infected and can pass on the virus when vaccinated (just means you will have less of a viral load present in your system), and the efficacy of the vaccination reduces over time. So could very easily bring it home to kids etc.

Best of luck out there. Hope it all goes well, but I'd still very much be on "high alert with some freedoms" vs a "on the other side mentality".

  • any of these pubs in Sydney CBD?

    • "Hotel CBD" perhaps? (52 King St)
also Angel Hotel (125 Pitt St)
also The Grand Hotel (30 Hunter St)
and Establishment, The Royal George, The Wynyard…

      • Thanks

You gonna go there, have 1 free beer each pub and rotate?

        • I was thinking about it… but instead went to 2 of them that were closer to me. 1 free schooner at each ;-)

          • @snapper: did u go by yourself?

Which one did you go to? Did you just have one schooner and walked out?

            • @Homr: I met a friend at Queens Hotel then we went to Vic on the Park. They were happy to serve the free schooner (although it was getting late and at first the Vic said they'd run out of vouchers… eventually managed to get a freebie). No compulsion to buy another
