  • Inflated RRP?

    • Yes. Lol. Same applies for all consumer headphones of Bose, Sony, Sennheiser, etc.

However, these are some of the cheaper headphones of Beyerdynamic. Their professional and audiophile range has lot more costlier headphones.

      • Bose, Sony , Sennheiser - not really.

most of the time they are very much at full RRP at shops. you won't be getting them for 50% off for sure.

        • Sennheiser PXC 550 RRP is $599
          Bose 700 RRP is $700
          Sony 1000XM4 RRP is $500

    • Half price acceptable. Sells for US$251 in the US. Full price? Definitely inflated

  • Beyerdyanmic may not be a very familar name in Australia but they are rather known in Europe, They are popular in the Entertainer/TV space where its more so audiophile usage.

It's been down to $249 multiple times in the past year, and lowest was $199: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/beyerdynamic-lagoon-anc…

    • The one you linked to is the cheaper Traveller, not Explorer. It's cheaper everywhere. It's US$214 in the US

From OP "Also available at same price. Beyerdynamic Lagoon Traveller:"

        They differ only in colour.

You're actually right. Technical specs are identical

The ear cups on these are tiny, hard clamping and get hot fast. Had to sell mine after a week of use.

Sound wise, leagues ahead of the Sony xm4 and Bose. No bloated bass here, slams hard and amazingly doesn't have the beyerdynamic house treble.

Don't pay over $250 for these

Tiny cups. Hard clamping. Get hot fast. Slams Hard

Great description. So many ways to interpret this lol
