Worth considering if you already have a 10th gen Intel CPU or are able to buy one for cheap. These are being discounted due to12th gen CPUs coming fairly soon but still a pretty good deal for a premium motherboard. ITX boards this cheap can be hard to find. Hopefully this helps someone 🙂

Tempted between this and the cheap DDR4 these last few days to upgrade from a 4790k finally… hmmmm
Any decent deals on 10th/11th gen cpus?
I'd say this is a great deal as a cheap i7 10th gen or 11th gen will provide you with great performance
it is a sweat spot for gaming and if you get a good gpu deal then could set u up for the next 5-10 years
Tbh I really wanted to go AMD for something different but this is very tempting.
Going to waste some time hunting CPUs
The arguments for AMD and intel almost have no real merit anymore as intels prices have gone down to justify the competition and perforamnce
i have a i7 10700k and a 3080 and I definitely feel like this beast can handle any game that i play
@THX: More for the lower wattages/heat and I haven't had an AMD processor since the Athlon days!
@tellhimhesdreaming: fair point, solar panels will solve that power issue and maybe a noctua
Keep your eyes on eBay. Some 15% voucher let you buy a 10900 non k for 425 shipped.
Damn I paid around $400 for this not too long ago
god damn theres no way to future proof yourself
I was thinking about gradually upgrading my old PC parts because I'm running a low budget (i7-4790k +1070ti+ASROCK H97M-ITX/ac)
Wondering should I buy this motherboard and buy another Intel processor and sell my old 4790k?
Or as some people have suggested I should just buy a pre-built and sell my old PC in whole?
Thanks in advance for suggestions.imo, buying good deals yourself and building by yourself will mean you get better quality parts. It just means it's a bit more work for you to change the parts.
at least you got one 1070ti and can handle a lot of game at 1080p60 frame rate :P If you can wait you could grab one Gen12 Intel cpu and grab one RTX 3000 super at early next year. I have both 11700K and 10700K, I believe 10th/11th Intel cpu is not friendly for ITX build in terms of the power/cooling after OC.
hmmm… probably has the faulty version of the intel 2.5gig nic.., given the age of the board..
definately best to avoid, unless you can conifrm, and newer revision network chip..

Interesting, lots of the Z490 (intel) and B550 (AMD) have been run out at bargain basement prices over the last few months..
Paid $450 and I got a $50 Xbox gc when it came out. I am glad I sold my pc already and recovered the money. This price is great.
