    Good deal brah

  • Wish they had the men's limited edition ones on sale as well

    • You don’t find the two different colours odd?

  • The 4e’s love my wide feet

    • Are 4Es also on sale?

  • How's this compared to normal react 2?

    • +4

Prefer it more. I find the react 2 (and 1) too cushion-ey. The react foam of the Peg 38 feels more responsive and more solid all round as a trainer. React is nice and comfy for walking though. Energy return is solid and the sole is very durable. Wide toe box which should fit more people with even wide-ish feet no problem.

Also plenty of people have issues with the react 2 where the tongue rips.

I love my Peg 38 as a simple daily trainer. Currently using it in rotation with my Nike Tempo Next% and Saucony Endorphin Speed 2

      • +1

How do you find the Pegs compared to the Tempos? I have the Tempos in my rotation and love them for tempo runs funnily enough. Looking for a daily trainer to replace replace my Fly 3

        • +1

I enjoy the Peg 38's vs my Tempos. I only received my Tempos about a week ago. They do well for my sub 20 minute 5km runs. More springy, however more clunky and so much more chance to roll your ankles in the Tempos due to the higher center of gravity (aka thick sole). Peg 38 is a welcome change for my sub 30 minute 5km runs. I find that they are simple and more stable for easier runs.

Nike have just released their Fly 4 which sounds like a good all rounder too but I've got no need for them.

          • @tempestswitch: What is the Fly 4?

            • +1

@chyawala: Fly 4 only got realeased a week ago. It's a more durable/faster trainer shoe designed to bridge between the Pegasus and NEXT% line.

      • How do these fit? I have the flyknit react 2

        • Very similar to the react 2. I don't have the react 2, but I've tried it instore.
Good fit. The 38 is slightly wider than the 37 which is good. Tongue is cushioned well.
          Sizing is true to size

The material is just ok compared to the react flyknit 2 which feels more premium

    • +2

Flyknit 2 have poor quality tongues that easily tear away from the shoe with little pressure. (As seen on youtube).

  • +4

Just be warned these are very soft in the heel, to the point where I ended up injured after 6 X 5k runs with persistent heel pain with any pressure. Never had that with Kayano or the older style Pegasus.

    • +1

agree, was a pegasus fan but they lost me after the 34. narrow fit and too soft from 35. am now in ASICS too - NIMBUS 23

    • +1, consistent heel pain from the newer Pegasus (36-37) models and it feels like they don't hold my ankle firm either. Shame, because till recently Nike was able to produce decent running shoes, but both Pegasus and Winflo went downhill in the past couple of years. I'll quite possible switch to an Ultraboost after my latest fiasco with my moonwalker Winflo 37.

      • Ultraboost for running? Please dear God you're telling me you're joking.

  • I found this yesterday. Think it is from the same sale. Need some trail runners and almost ready to pull the pin

    • +1

      There's also these https://www.nike.com/au/t/wildhorse-7-trail-running-shoes-rr…

I have both and really like both. I use the Kiger's for race days and the Wildhorses for training

      • The complaints by reviewers of the cheap outsole and poor grip on wet hard surfaces is the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger. That and the horrific colour schemes on the discount models

        • +1

I've put almost 500km into my Kigers and 100km into the Wildhorse (covid restrictions have limited the terain I can run on this year) and there's no complaints re grip or quality on either model from me.

          • @chiprillis: Yeah, I'm sure they are great 99% of the time and only a few extremists complain about the less than perfect grip on one stretch of super slippery wet rock-hard surface that they should just be taking it easier on…

Just got an Instagram advert OCT21 for an extra 10% off members only

    • I'm getting Invalid Promo Code

      • Same here invalid code it says using OCT21

        • +2

I messaged Nike support through their online chat on the checkout page and the explanation I got was the code isn't active in our region and it's not meant to be. Must be an error that it's showing up in our localised adverts in social media.
They gave me a unique 10% off code for my troubles.

Don't forget you can get these price matched through Rebel Sport if you don't want to pay the $9.95 shipping + 2 weeks wait time.

  • +1

Just a heads up with these, I have custom orthotics and when I tried them in store, the heel wasn't deep enough so my heel would just pop out when I walked around. Really cool looking shoes though.

    • +1

i find that nikes in general have a shallow heel pocket. irritating if the insole that comes with the shoe is so thin and flimsy.

  • Anyone looking at these should look at the Under Armour HOVR Machina 2. The red ones are on clearance at Rebel Sports for $129.99 and I'm really surprised by how comfortable and well built they are. Very good grip on any surface and this is coming from someone who's always been a big fan of the Pegasus range.

  • Anyone actually been able to buy anything? I have a login but cannot seem to use it, just keep bouncing errors (system errors at their end, not just "incorrect password errors") and if I try to reset my password, it never emails a link, and even trying to sign up a new email address causes it to error as well, saying it can't connect to the servers. Been trying since yesterday.

  • be aware of 3% credit surchage for 'foriegn transaction' - it's the US site showing values in AUD. So basically if you get x% of cashback you actually charged 3% on top of full purchase price.
