I'm looking at Commonwealth Bank Step Pay and wondering what payment methods are available. I don't want to sign up unless I can use credit card as payment method like other BNPL services. Anybody know if i can use CC or whether it has to be bank account?
In the case of StepPay, CommBank’s buy now, pay later product, you can split purchases between $100 and $1000 into four, equal fortnightly instalments that automatically come out of your linked CommBank repayment account
Each instalment then automatically comes out of your linked personal everyday account.
Doesn't sound like you can pay with a credit card.
Found the answer in their FAQ section: "Initially StepPay can only be linked to a CommBank transaction account."
Step pay performs a credit check for what it's worth.
