  • Probably just going to wait until end of life. Did that with Forza 7. Not really impressed by it. Hopefully horizon is more fun

Horizon is a laugh, Forza mainstream is just another simcade and is a very outdated formula imo.

    • +1

forza 7 is closer to being a racing simulator whilst horizon is more arcade. even though both uses the same engine.
i found forza 7 is more fun racing on real world circuits and the steering wheel implementation is quite good.

Forza Horizon 5 is coming out early November, so if you don't mind waiting a couple months it'll probably be cheaper then. It's a great game though, I'd recommend it.

Nice game. I got it for free bundled with my XB1 console. And that version has crossplay with PC through the Windows store.

This stupid Steam version ofcourse does not offer crossplay. Stuck with just the PC version only.

So if you have an Xbox console. You're better off buying it through the Windows Store when it's on sale as you also get Xbox console play. Unless you specifically want the Steam version.

    Thanks for the tip, Amazing

This is on GamePass if you have a subscription. Horizon 5 will also be on GamePass on release (5th of November)

    • Yeah plus you also get to play it on an Xbox console if you have one. I don't think you can do that with the Steam version.

So why would you buy it through Steam?. You're locked to PC only, no Xbox console cross play.

I guess it's for the people who simply aren't interested in Xbox consoles liked myself. I don't like the way the Xbox/windows store runs on PC really. I'd prefer everything on Steam though I do have FH3 from back in the dark days of when I had an Xbox.

The Windows Store/Xbox app is massively improved in the Windows 11 beta version. And I believe these are being back ported to Windows 10 at some point.

You're better off buying this if you also have an Xbox console and want to play it on that too. It's a Windows 10 + Xbox version. I know it's $62.99 but it offers both PC + Xbox console play and the Lego Speed Champions DLC.

It would be stupid to buy both the Steam version and Xbox version seperately. Sure it's through the Windows Store but do you really need it on Steam?.

Thanks for post, was looking forward to purchasing this game.

    • Could have got the Ultimate Edition through the Windows Store for $67.47. This incldes all the available DLC.

      • It doesnt really bother me i dont have a console anyways

        • Who knows if you might in the future.

    Just get Game Pass

    • forza 4 may get removed when forza 5 comes out.
forza motorsport 7 just got removed.

game pass is fine if you plan to just quicky finish it and delete it and move on.

      • It’ll be longer than that before it gets removed (there’s always good notice), and likely better sales to be had before then

      • Forza MS7 was given out free to people who had purchased DLC on the GamePass variant prior to a certain date, so there's a very good chance anyone who has spent anything on the game will just get a free copy once they decide it's EOL. At the moment there's still a good community playing it.

Same price through the Windows Store.

Base game for $49.97, Deluxe Edition for $64.97 or Ultimate Edition for $67.47. Is both the PC version plus Xbox console play. It says Xbox version but it also offers PC cross play through the Windows Store. That's an advantage over the Steam version which is locked to PC only.
