Hard to say whether this is a good deal or not based on the age of the watch. It has since been followed by the 945 and 945LTE.

The 935 came out in April 2017. 4 & 1/2 years is a lifetime in Garmin years.

    • I agree. Some people buy the previous gen tech to save money, but I think you get the best value out of tech by buying it at launch and then selling in on the 2nd hand market at about the 4 year mark.
Personally, I was tossing up between Apple Watch 7 and Garmin Fenix 7 to replace my Apple Watch 3. After seeing the Apple Watch 7 last week, I decided to get the Garmin Fenix 7 as soon as it launches… whenever that will be.

      • In same boat between AW7 and Garmin 9xx (955 or 945 + or whatever its going to called)

Can i ask what is making you go Garmin over AW7?

        • I like the shape of the Garmin Fenix 6. I thought the new AW7 would have a different body and be flat-sided like the mock-ups showed. I thought "pro" look was super slick. But when I saw that the body was mostly the same as before, I decided to wait for the Fenix 7, which will be the more premium and "status-symbolising" device anyway.

Totally agree - I've worn a 935 since launch and have definitely gotten value out of it. Although I'll probably keep wearing it until it dies and then replace it with a lower specc'd forerunner. There has been excellent trickle down of premium features and I don't do multievent sports. The FR935 was the best option when I bought it though.

        I'd get a FR55 for $320 instead of a 4 1/2 year old watch - unless I really wanted multisport events.

  • Yeah at this price it’s not worth it. I rocked a 935 for years but sold earlier in the year as competing products were doing better stuff for less money. Check out the Coros Pace 2 for $300 if this is your budget.

  • OP has this deal expired now? Was shopping this against the 945 which is also discounted to $550 at the moment, and sure it is better, but not $200 better for me, so hoping this might still be available but not looking good?
