  • There is no balance left on the code. :( and i just committed to buying something.

  • mint, worked for me!

  • Same must be expired. Looks like im going to get an unpaid item strike.

Gone 30 minutes after posted on OzBargain. It would then stay on the front page of OzBargain for the next 2 days getting comments from people complaining how they have missed out :P

    • hahah scotty! true soooooo true!

    • <insert rage about how 50K coupons is merely a strategy to get to front page>

      Let's do some math here:

      50,000 * 5 GBP = 250,000 GBP ~= 372,765.48 AUD

Damn. Thats a lot. Paypal fees and eBay fees may be a cut of that.

      • ~10% give or take 3%

    • +1 But it must have been worldwide cause I don't think 50000 people read this page. Quite a flash crowd.

      • -3

yep I saw this code posted a few hrs ago on another forum.

    • Maybe that's part of the strategy: customers have to commit to buying the item before seeing if the code still works. I'm sure this web site is not the only one to have the coupon posted. I predict many more people will try to buy something for free and then see the code doesn't work. Too late. eBay wins. I'm satisfied as it worked for me but others aren't as lucky.

      • You'll find that most people simply will not commit to the sale and accept a NPB strike. Sellers are now unable to leave a neg comment, unless one has been left for the seller.

        • Is that right - a seller can leave a negative for a buyer if they receive one in return? I hated how they couldn't allow us to leave (as a seller) anything other than a positive. Not like i get negatives every day (rarely actually) but good to know! :)

    • +1

I just think COTD and Amexconnect has something to learn.. haha.. just thinking number of people trying to buy at the same time.. it must be a record of some sort!

EDIT : try google the code CUKFB1.. it must be on ozb of every country!

      • I'm surprised I managed to get one use! :)

  • I must have been 49,995th :)

  • might be expired, didnt work for me

  • Discount code worked ten mins ago, but been waiting that long for the PayPal security code SMS to come through even after trying a 'resend'.

EDIT: security codes finally come through after 13 mins, were invalid… tried another "resend code" which took 5 mins to come through and worked, but then this error appeared:

"X-KFB1: You've used the entire balance on your gift card, gift certificate or eBay Bucks certificate."

At least I didn't commit to buy before payment (was an instant payment required item I guess).

  • Yes it is working

  • Dam just missed out >.<

  • -2

I am thinking of buying this item http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/iPhone-4-4s-Genuine-Leather-Flip-…

Where do I putting in the code???????????

    • Don't worry about it, all codes gone

  • Doesn't work anymore. Just tried it and failed. "There is no balance left on this redemption code."

  • Didn't work, no balance left on this code.

  • No balance left

  • -1

    so now…
we're committed to pay full price..
    fk

    • -1

Exactly. I've emailed ebay hoping to cancel my transaction. The price for the item with the code was good, without it it's too high.

      • Or hope there's another promotional tmr….
Sigh.. Who am I kidding lol

    • -5

You should apply the code before committing. If it doesn't work, abort.

      • +1

Dude, you are not the only smart person in the world. You can't enter the code until you 'commit' to buy the item.

        • yes, you are right- forgot that you had already committed to ebay seller before needing to commit to paypal payment.

  • +2

Haha noooooo spent too long picking something to buy!

  • +2

haha, was at the commit to buy button when I refreshed this page and saw it expired. lucky ! Ozbargain almost cost me 8 bucks! lol

  • So how many minutes was it posted here before it expired? 29 minutes?

    • Its listed all over the net as well, not just here

  • bugger missed out
